Our first visit to this lovely 'village' located eating house which we fully enjoyed. Our table for eight was celebrating a birthday. All the meals were excellent which was served on hot plates nicely served by the staff. Our supplied birthday cake came on time lite with candles and a verse of happy birthday was start by the staff. The Smokey Cow – TelfordTable of four on Boxing Day - took my mum out for lunch. Covid safe environment, well prepared food and excellent, friendly service. Very agreeable experience. Thank you for being there on a Christmas Bank Holiday. Food would have got a five but the menu had become limited - the steaks had been very popular and were no longer being offered - didn’t matter in the end though.

All in all a very nice visit, food was tasty and well presented, slightly big meal for the oap next time maybe better with a child’s meal if possible. Christmas pudding light on the brandy sauce but more easily supplied when requested. Overall very nice would go back and would recommend :)

Our guest was a neighbour of ours, she was delighted with the Turkey dinner which we all had! Apple & Cinnamon Strudel, Christmas Pudding & Sticky Toffee Pudding to finish off our meal Yum yum! The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordReally pleased fish Friday extended to fish saturday.... both the plaice and cod were beautifully cooked, really tasty. The nacho starter was the best we've tasted, huge portion and great value for money. We will be back.

It did take a long time for our first course to arrive, starters but the meals were all delicious - some of the best we have ever had. Lots of choice and able to select from both the festive and main menus. Worth the wait and will return

The Smokey Cow – TelfordBoth my friend and myself ordered a burger and fries which sounded lovely on the menu. It came out in around 5-10 mins which we were shocked at being able to cook a burger that quickly. I cut the burger in half and it looked like a cheap thin, processed one that had been stuck on the grill which would explain the speed in which it came out. I’ve just got used to eating thick homemade burgers when I eat out. Which without being rude, I make better ones for the family at home. The bun was really dry and stale. My friend was going to complain, but as both burgers were the same we assumed if we had another, it also would be the same. But for £15 I wasn’t impressed which is a shame as the waitresses were pleasant and attentive and atmosphere was nice too.
