Due to a change of weekend plans from a trip to the horse racing in a wet Sedgefield, we booked for Sunday dinner at the Harbour Lights. As normal it was extremely busy even though it was only 12.30pm. My husband tried the Featherblade for the first time and I chose the same. He was so impressed, tasty, easy to eat, quality and quantity. All the veg to go with it and gravy boat. Staff were excellent as always.

What a wonderful place! Such lovely friendly staff who always welcome you with a smile. The food is 1st class… huge breakfast menu with portions to match! Lunch menu is great with locally sourced food and specials on offer too. I haven’t tried the Sunday lunches…yet…but they sound great. I’m looking forward to the Christmas dinner.

My jacket potato tasted dreadful I only ate the filling, my husband enjoyed his meal. Nobody came to ask if food was ok. I normally like it here but was disappointed

Can’t fault this place at all. Lovely fresh food. Huge size portions and just a lovely place. Need a sleep after you have eaten here as you get so much.

Booked reservation on line mentioned I have a reaction to spices , What they didn’t do was email if I had any allergies when seated .i knew what I was able to eat could if asked .think this should happen with all custom Era as people sat near us weren’t asked .maybe this could be asked . Food was delicious had fish and chips it was heat full hubby had corned beef pie .he said it was. Nice . Great service from all staff .

Went on Saturday lunch time for my Mams birthday there were 7 adults and a child. Staff were very friendly and explaining what food of the day was. Food was lovely well presented and fresh. Would definitely recommend and return booking is advised
