Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLovely Christmas lunch yesterday. Great food, lovely welcome, friendly staff. Have booked for New Year’s Day we enjoyed it so much.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFirst time for lunch. As previously, splendid on all counts. Wonderful atmosphere created in no small part by the brilliant staff. Pate and Sea Bass for me, turkey and Chocolate Orange cheesecake for him. Latte to follow, perhaps a small mince pie would be a nice seasonal touch with the after dinner coffee? That being said, most enjoyable and we have made a return booking for Christmas Eve.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogLoved the Christmas feel to the restaurant and the crackers on the table were a lovely touch. Staff were nice and friendly. Winter soup was divine as was the child's brownie. Carvery was nice but just average, which was a little disappointing. Not a lot of space to get child's food and your own around carvery section. Poor side - I few hard pieces in the cabbage on my plate. I enjoyed my meal, however other members of our party said it was just OK. Guinness tasted off, and wine wasn’t chilled The atmosphere and the staff made the experience better. We would return again.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamNice meal, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended
Royal Oak – WrexhamLovely, healthy, filling food and wonderful service.
Green Olive – AngleseyExcellent as usual!
Telfords Bistro – ConwyAte a very nice dinner on Friday 15/12, with 4 friends. We shared the baked camenbert, we asked for extra bread to dip, which duly arrived. I had halibut for main course it was very good indeed. All the other dishes were good, we had no complaints only empty plates! (We ate everything). Thanks we've been before and will come back. We recommend this restaurant to our guests.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyThe ladies of the line dancing enjoyed the meal and the great service
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamA disappointing limited menu.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthSuperb food Attentive staff Comfortable and warm surroundings Looking forward to trying all of the menu
Telfords Bistro – ConwyExcellent food and service. A bit pricey for a usual meal out but for a special occasion well worthy it.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe went for my partners birthday, the food was amazing, the staff were all friendly and polite, and very knowledgeable. I found the wine complement the meal superbly. I give the experience a 10/10. Thank you for a great night.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFood was excellent but sadly the heating wasn’t working so portable heaters being used which fused and there was only one more table occupied. Couldn’t have a cocktail as the cocktail maker doesn’t work on a Wednesday . Such a shame as this is the second time that I’ve not had the best experience at this restaurant!
Telfords Bistro – ConwyThis was our second visit having said after our first that it wouldn't be our last. Unfortunately we probably won't be visiting for awhile. The seafood chowder (starter) was very nice, decent portion, hot but needed some black pepper, which unfortunately isn't available on all the tables. The Welsh Rarebit and mussels (starter) was very poor, certainly not worth the money. The Monkfish was as good as last time, but the Herb Crusted Cod was certainly not cooked well. It was slightly under cooked, the herb crust was non existent, it had been cooked skin side up so that you could blow the herbs off when it arrived. The service is extremely attentive, probably too attentive at times. I was asked on three occasions if I had finished my main course when it was clearly evident that I had't, if only it had been so when I wanted some black pepper! Having read the reviews we were probably unlucky with our choices, so give the restaurant a visit and see for yourself!
Telfords Bistro – ConwyWe booked for the carvery recently and we were not disappointed. Great choice of meat and vegetables. The meat was tender and tasted fantastic. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Great choice of starters and desserts too. Helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.
Hotel Wrexham – WrexhamOur meal was as excellent as always, and everything ticked all the boxes so thank you to all the team.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFood is fabulous!
