Wheatsheaf Inn
Wheatsheaf Inn, Cleckheaton(Review by Mick Wilde)

Having read the previous reviews we decided to sample the food and hospitality at The Wheatsheaf Inn. We were definitely not disappointed. The food and staff were second to none and we would recommend this hostelry as a must visit venue. Great value, great food and great service.

Me and my boyfriend go here on average once a month, we love it, the food is gorgeous, plenty of variety for the price you pay. The most you pay being £16.95 for three courses, but not the usual early bird menu that other restaurants offer. Worth visiting, love it.

Golden Bengal Tandoori Restaurant, Horsforth(Review by Mark & Lads )

Party of 11 all male friends out on a Birthday celebration happen to pass this Indian and decided to eat in primarily because their car was large enough to park our limo. Wasn't keen to find out that it was unlicensed but none the less decided to give the place a go. The deciding factor being we were welcome to bring in our own alcohol which we did arms full from the near by off licence. And the great thing about it all was that a whole drinks fridge as well as pint glasses, half pint glasses, wine glasses and several bottle openers were allocated solely for our use! Didn't expect that from a non alcohol serving restaurant! Now that's what I call service! Wasn't in the slightest worried about the quality of the food especially after hearing such high praises about Golden Bengal personally from the owner of the off licence herself and her staff upon learning about where we were headed. End result: Ace food! Brilliant service! Fantasic staff! Bang on the money prices! A highy memorable finish to a highly memorable day! Just one question. Can I have your drinks fridge?

Golden Bengal Tandoori Restaurant, Horsforth(Review by Angela )

A large group of us dined at Golden Bengal on Wednesday as part of their 4 course early bird meal deal which includes a starter, main, rice/bread and a dessert at the sounding fantastic price of £9.95 per head. The meal deal comprised of a variety of dishes catering for both vegetarians & meat lovers as well as favourites such as onion bhaji, chicken/lamb tikka as starters, and chicken/lamb tikka, buna, rogon josh to name a few of the mains. I had the chicken wings (as did the majority of the group) as my starter, the prawn korma as my main with pilau rice and an ice cream to finish off. To be honest I really didn't know what to expect as often with meal deal offers that I have tried at other Indian restaurants the food isn't up to scratch and there's hardly any meat in the dishes. Just a lot of sauce with a few miserly pieces of meat floating around at the bottom. I was quietly hoping this wasn't gonna be the case as I was the one who made the booking after reading the fab reviews this restaurant has received and I honestly didn't want to hear any stick afterwards. Simply wanted to unwind after a hard days work at the office and have a good time with collegues and hopefully some good decent food! "Mmmmmmm!" "Wow!" "Really good!" "Nice!" "Very tasty!" "Delightful!" "Very good!" Just a few of the many true felt thoughts on the food that we tasted. Each and every review that I read so do reflect a true picture of this place and I would go as far as to say having experienced the high quality and high standard of both food and service on offer don't give this BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT enough justice! Clearly this restaurant knows Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine well AND how to cook them! I as well as everyone else loved the food. GREAT PORTIONS, EXTREMELY TASTY DISHES WITH REAL DEPTH OF FLAVOURS and above all GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY in these credit crunch times!!! The chicken wings starter a must have! Tasted absolutely delicious and extremely FRESH with a wonderful smoky aroma!!! Must say that the staff were also excellent attending to each and every request promtly and with a smile! PLus I'm very pleased. Get to bask in all the glory of booking this DELIGHTFUL cosy restaurant.

WOW, Indian / Bangladeshi cuisine at its best. Fresh flavours, tender meats intoxicating spices make for a fantastic dining experience. Very reasonably priced with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The wonderful staff make visiting Golden Bengal a real treat. Since moving to Horsforth 8 months ago we must have been at least twice a month, taking family and friends to show them how Indian / Bangladeshi food should taste - fresh and delicious. We've never once had anything less than incredible food and always leave feeling very satisfied and nicely full. A fabulous all round dining experience made possible by the hard work of all the incredibly talented staff. Thanks to you all and will see you soon x

Golden Bengal Tandoori Restaurant, Horsforth(Review by Peter & Lucy)

I got a Golden Bengal gift voucher for a Christmas prezzie and went down there for the first time accompanied by my fiancée, Lucy. The restaurant felt comfortably warm and was quite busy as it was a Friday night. There were a couple of birthday parties but we were still shown and seated to a central table and not just pushed to a corner of the dining room which was very good. And what I thought was really splendid was that even though we had eaten our mains, we weren't made to feel any urgency even in the slightest to leave. Myself and Lucy stayed on quite a while drinking our wine at ease and simply enjoying the soft, relaxing music and the great lively vibe. The restaurant being unlicensed wasn't a problem as there is an off licence situated fairly close and we were able to bring our own. Plus there's no corkage charge! The food was tailored to our requirements and tasted YUMMY! The pickley tray dips especially the onion salad tasted really flavoursome. The garlic naan bread was ever so soft and smelt as it should do, of garlic! I loved our main dishes, the Tikka Achari and Butter Chicken! EVERY MOUTHFUL A PLEASURE!! You could just tell from the look, smell and taste of the food served that everything was FRESHLY MADE and COOKED WITH PASSION to deliver CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! I'd much rather wait and be presented freshly cooked to order food than pay for pre-cooked drivel that doesn't taste as good nor worth the money. The staff were very friendly yet professional and showed GREAT HOSPITALITY! Always smiling and it was nice to see female waitresses. I'm so glad that we live within their FREE DELIVERY SERVICE!! THANKYOU Golden Bengal for a truly MEMORABLE NIGHT and we will defo recommend this EXEMPLARY RESTAURANT to all! ps Thanks sis for the voucher. I definitely see why you are so fond of this place. It is REMARKABLY GOOD!!

Aagrah Restaurant, Leeds City Centre(Review by Shadowfox79)

Came here in a group of six and for a change ordered starter platters as well as main dishes. The starters were absolutely delicious, especially the spicy paneer and tikka fish - the only snag was that we then had less room for the delicious mains. Always a pleasure though.
