Really enjoyed the food. Somewhat disappointed that the mini dessert with a hot drink was not on the menu when we dined on the 28th June, this is a real favourite after a good main course.

We have been coming here for over 20 years and the quality of food, service and atmosphere is still way up there. Just love Bacchus

We went to pacinos recently for a meal out, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect too.

Food was outstanding. Every course delicious and perfectly cooked. Really interesting range of choices. Staff were discreetly attentive and friendly. A memorable meal.

Incredible afternoon tea with a brilliant selection of sandwiches. Service was fantastic and went above and beyond. The setting was quiet and aesthetically pleasing. One of the best afternoon teas we have ever had and have recommended to our friends and family. Will be back!

A friend and I decided to try the afternoon tea offered at The Mere Court Hotel. We I'll definitely be going again. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Making sure you are happy and letting us choose our own table etc. We didn't have to wait long to be served and when the tea arrived, it looked and tasted delicious. The scones in particular were clearly home made, fresh, warm and delicious! As for the room, setting and gardens; totally delightful. Well kept and looked after with separate areas, outdoor seating and big fountains. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Booked for afternoon tea for my Mum's birthday and it was gorgeous. The venue was lovely and relaxing and the afternoon tea was delicious, just the right amount too. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was a lovely afternoon.

Main was lovely and staff was friendly, polite Dessert I would say was over priced for what size you got and definitely wasn’t home made, ice cream was cheap too, disappointed as the main was very good

We've been to the Alvanley Arms a few times, and the food and service have always been excellent. The food & drink are all extremely good value, and of the highest quality. You can always be assured of a warm welcome by all the staff, and will definitely not be disappointed with the choice and Quality of the food - and the range of Beers available. Whether its for a treat or just a good meal, the Alvanley Arms can't be recommended highly enough.

Had a mid week meal to catch up with a friend . Both the service and the food was excellent. Reservation on line was very straight forward. Received a warm welcome on arrival food was served quickly and was delicious Mid week set menu is excellent value. We will definitely return.

We visit the White Lion on a regular basis and have been going for many years,on the last 2 occasions we have visited on a sunday,on each occasion we have asked for the gravy on the sunday roast to be in a seperate jug,this hasnt happened and the meal ends up swimming in gravy,sad that this happened on two different visits,i advised the manager on site and he apologised,i think we will give it a miss for a while

Food was excellent 25 had Sunday lunch all food was hot and good quality.

Had afternoon tea here ,there was a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes also a glass of Prosecco , Annie the waitress couldn’t do enough for us . We then went and sat in the beautiful gardens will definitely return .
