Service was absolutely spot on! Couldn’t fault it. The food on the other hand was very average. We were a table of 8 people who had a variety of the menu including the surf and turf which was the toughest steak they’d ever eaten! We won’t be returning!
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyLovely decor, comfy seating with plenty of space. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was delicious. It is quite loud and echoey, and being a Saturday night it was quite busy. This made conversation across the table difficult at times.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmFamily get-together at Pacino's, booked on line weeks ago, studied menu on line and knew what I was going to order before I arrived. Crab cakes for starters was delicious and the red pepper salad; perfect. Main course: Salmon & prawn tagliatelle with bottle of red could not have been better. The staff where attentive and friendly. All seven of us chose different items from the menu and I heard nothing but praise for the quality of the food. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff who where working during our visit and I can confirm that should we visit Chester again, we will definitely be dining with you. Thank you.

White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamAbsolutely stunning food, we had the charcuterie board and the croque monsieur - really generous portions good value for money. The sparkling wine was also excellent! Great service & relaxing atmosphere.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyBeen to Mere twice now .Once for Afternoon tea and the 2nd time for Sunday lunch. Enjoyed both visits immensely. Food was beautiful and plenty of it. Staff were lovely. The only criticism we have is that service can be a bit on the slow side but the food certainly makes up for the wait.

The Sunday lunch menu had so many delicious options all perfectly prepared. Overall an exceptional lunch. We will definitely return on our next UK visit.

The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichDid a 50 mile round trip to visit the pub and we weren't disappointed absolutely beautiful place food was excellent staff very warming and friendly definitely recommend and we'll be back very soon for our overnjght stay.

The only drawback I could say was that the ham sandwich came with mustard already on it and neither of us like mustard! I think in future it would be sensible to leave the mustard off the ham sandwich! Annie our Waitress was ever so friendly and helpful! I have been about 4 times now for Afternoon Tea and it is always superb! X

Pooch chose the “growl bowl” from the dog menu - chicken,sausage and carrots he loved it! We didn’t have room for pudding, will have to visit again.
