Booked a table for 5 of us, atmosphere great and the food was amazing. Service was brilliant at first but as things got more busier it did slow down which is understandable but this doesn't take away from te3 fact with the new owners and menu our local will thrive and we will definitely be back! Would be brilliant if they had a little play area of little ones!

Our food was very nice and service was generally really good. Employees very polite and efficient. My main complaint was that we ordered pizza garlic bread for starters and I stressed more than once that it was a starter (it was on the starter menu). So disappointing then that when our mains came I was told the garlic bread is also on its way. Basic mistake that shouldn't happen. Ultimately enjoyed our food but not blown away. Would go back but not in a rush - plenty of other places to try in the area.

Happy diner

Lovely tasty and freshly cooked food with efficient service... one of the only places we've been to recently where 1) the food portions have not reduced, 2) there's still a wide choice of decent (rather than cheap to make) food, and 3) prices don't seem to have rocketed. Well done Pacinos!

Had a stunning meal on Friday night. The food was excellent as was our waitress Nicky. We also went downstairs for a cocktail which was a great end to a lovely evening. I was also surprised at the bill, superb value for money for such high quality, delicious food. I would highly recommend this place to absolutely anyone and we will return very soon. Thank you all.

Had a lovely afternoon tea with a friend. The sandwiches were freshly cut and the fillings generous. The scones were fresh and there was a good selection of cakes. The staff at the desk were welcoming and the young men who served us were efficient, friendly and polite. I have been to this restaurant several times before and always found it to be reliably good.

We thought we would be brave and go out for an evening meal it’s been a long time since the recent bad times of Covid. We were so pleased we picked this lovely restaurant, the excellent food, the friendly service and the atmosphere it made a lovely evening. Thank you, we will be back.

Although we like Cafe P for its ambience and pleasant service, on this occasion it was disappointing. My Mum’s tea was weak so we asked for another teabag. We were then charged the full price for a pot of tea for just one tea bag! £3.25! This is greedy management and it has put us off going back.

I was looking on the internet for a pub for lunch after a dog walk with friends round Delamere Forest and came across The Carriers Inn. We certainly struck lucky and hit on the right place! We booked for an early lunch on Thursday, as we were five people with five dogs, one a puppy, and we didn't want to potentially disturb others so chose a weekday when a pub was less likely to be very busy. We arrived early and were allowed straight to the table that was in the corner, with plenty of room to tuck the dogs in (they all behaved beautifully, by the way, once their initial excitement of being allowed into a pub subsided). There were quite a few people in, even at that time, but still other tables available and the atmosphere was welcoming and convivial. We were served drinks promptly at the table and food followed without delays. We ordered baguettes, a main meal and two changed their minds to steak pie once they heard that it was the special (and weren't disappointed - although some of the others were envious, especially of the gravy). The food was tasty and hot - and lovely chips! The staff were friendly and helpful. The only potential fly in the ointment was another customer who arrived as we were about leave and found fault with everything (from the music to having dogs in the room). She made her feelings abundantly clear but even this didn't spoil the atmosphere and we noticed that the staff accommodated her and her group without upsetting others. Hopefully she relaxed and had as nice a meal and experience as we did. My friends and I will definitely be back again, it was a lovely way to end a dog walk round the lake at Delamere, and I have other friends, that I've mentioned it to who will now be including a visit to The Carriers Inn when visiting Delamere Forest.

I brought my mum here for an Afternoon tea for her birthday. I had emailed the day before to inform the staff that it was her birthday, to inform of dietary requirements as I needed to ask for one vegetarian option and requested for decaffeinated tea due to me being pregnant - plus my mum and I prefer decaffeinated tea. We arrived a little early but that wasn’t an issue at all and were politely greeted and seated. The service was outstanding for all the staff who served us and the food was delicious. We were given complimentary Prosecco both alcoholic and non alcoholic for me to be able to celebrate too. The chef also sent out a plate for my mum with Happy Birthday written in chocolate sauce with strawberries and chocolate brownies which was a lovely surprise. All in all the service was wonderful and FANTASTIC. It certainly was a pleasant experience and Afternoon tea. I will definitely be coming back and hopefully next time with my husband either before or after baby is born. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making my mum feel special on her birthday. And thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I would highly recommend you to anyone that asks where the best place is to have afternoon tea. Thank you
