We visit Prestbury quite often and usually eat in Coast, decided to try Lilac Cottage for a change, have eaten there once or twice over the years and always had a nice experience. Quite disappointed in the service this time, a dark haired waitress approached us upon our arrival asking my husband if his name was Bill ?? Even though he had already given his name to her (as our booking name)… (not Bill) spoke only to my husband only and completely ignored myself. A more professional and polite waitress then arrived at our table and efficiently took our food and drinks order, the original waitress returned to our table with our drinks again asking my husband’s name, this time she asked if he was called Andy….. Again completely ignored myself. Totally inappropriate service from said waitress. Staff on the whole were ok as was the food, price was ok but have eaten better for less money. Will not be going back any time soon. Think some staff need up skilling in the customer service department. Quite a random experience from a random waitress….

We had been to the Egerton on a good few occasions for drinks and bar snacks but not eaten in the restaurant. We received a nice, warm welcome (as always) and found a seat in the bar, as we were approximately half an hour early for our table. Once we'd all arrived (x8) we were seated in the restaurant which was lovely. We were all offered (further) drinks at the table whilst we perused the menu. Considering the ages ranged from 12 to 80 yrs, there was something for everybody, including some great starters. We were served throughout the evening and never short of a drink etc. As we were celebrating a birthday, the cake was brought out for us by the 'team' to a lovely chorus! All in all a great night and we will return soon. Many Thanks

i took my grandaughter for a birthday lunch. The food was lovely. well presented. The staff were so very attentive. They gave my grandaughter a birthday cake with a candle that made her feel very special. The atmosphere was welcoming. As a family we used to visit regulary many years ago. definitely back on the list for a re-visit

Another lovely ciccheti meal at The Tigers in the main pub this time with two friends & a dog. We were all made very welcome and we tried a different dish of pasta linguinie d,uja which was lovely- full size was a very, large portion Well presented,cooked and waitress service was spot on. We all highly recommend & our friends who live in Derbyshire wished they had a pub which offered this food near them. Come & enjoy

Fabulous food, great staff, great atmosphere and the service was impeccable ! Love the place and the prices were spot on, Would be hard to try to find a fault with this place. The 4 of us had a lovely time and will defo be back. Thank you guys !

We dined here on Saturday for lunch. Service, food was excellent and served in a timely fashion. I might add we are regulars and strongly recommend Cafe de Paris. If something is not to our liking, the staff are quite happy to help. Oh and the Sorriee’s are great!

Beautiful building and interior. Attended the restaurant on Saturday 17th Feb. The cheese sharing starter was wonderful. Unfortunately the chicken fajitas and the salt and pepper chicken wings and fries were flavourless, greasy, and no taste. We were placed in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the restaurant it was very loud as we were placed by big groups and had a waiter walking past at least every minute. It was just a shame we were unable to enjoy an anniversary meal because of feeling like we were on the m6 being passed every minute. Although this is no reflection on service as the waiting staff were good and polite.

Always been are favourite restaurant for many year, and also received the same level of service, regardless how busy they are

Tried the Italian which was a step up from the food we’ve had there previously. For the last year or so food has been overpriced and nothing special. Under new management and the beer and food has improved. The place still needs some work to justify the price of the menu but it’s definitely going in the right direction. Service was good but could benefit from attention to detail.

Visited here for Valentines Day, the food was incredible and extra special as they have a separate full vegan menu which isn’t offered everywhere! Atmosphere and decor was lovely. Massive shout out to Terri who served us, she was so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She even checked which wine was vegan for me before we even got there, great service! Great tasty food, well presented and served in timley way by friendly staff at La Capella. Nice atmosphere and lovely food. I can recommend this little slice of Italy with good portions and authentic food.

Stayed overnight in one of the lovely four poster rooms and enjoyed a lovely 3 course evening meal in the restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was great and good selection too.
