Lovely staff and the food was delicious, we had a Sunday lunch, it was all excellent!

We booked. a table for 2, 7.15pm on Thursday. I opted for the cod and chips. Mushy peas and it was one of the nicest bit of fried fish i've had for a long time. The chips were just right and there was no messing around with mushy peas. None of this small portion in a ramakin, but a reasonable 'dollop' on the plate. My partner had the vegetarian casoulette. Presentation was a little basic but the the meal was very good apart from the dumplings which were small and 'heavy'. All in all enjoyable and we will probably dine there again, but we won't rush. Not overpriced. Not noisy. Might have to try the lunch menu, midweek and Sunday

We had a most pleasant experience at Bacchus. Tha atmosphere was perfect with excellent decor, food and service. The waiters were friendly and amusing in just the right way and the food was served with just the right wait between courses. We were very well looked after and look forward to visiting Bacchus again.

Absolutely great meal. Look forward to returning when we next visit friends in Chester.

Excellent food, Staff were friendly and accommodating. Really lovely night.

Food was average. Service average and polite. Main concern was what seemed a private party between owner/employees & friends. Unprofessional & total disregard for paying customers. When dining I would expect to be able to hold a conversation without shouting! Not for me again.

Friendly professional service, amazing cocktails in a uniquely stylish setting … great food and surprise birthday cake for my daughter. (They’d picked up it being her birthday, we hadn’t gone armed with balloons and such nonsense). Always a bit of a special treat.

Great place - fantastic staff - really looked after.

Terrific restaurant with an excellent range of menu items, all of which are imaginative and well-prepared. Bacchus has a great ambience without the intrusion of background music. And it’s all capped off with knowledgeable and attentive service.

Lovely food and lovely service such a nice cosy place right near Delamere Forrest. We had the Sunday roast and it was gorgeous, generous portions and really tasty. Would definitely visit again.

Amazing food and service on Sunday afternoon. Every single dish from the house salad to the sirloin steak and everything in between was a delight!! Ray, is a great host xx
