La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe stay at Hillcroft Park in Pooley Bridge and when we visit, we now always go to the Queens Head at Tirral. A great find, and our preference to the village pubs to be honest. Its a very friendly, pub, lovely atmosphere. The food is amazing, never had a bad meal, always brilliant. The staff are friendly and very attentive. We love going to this pub.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleA very modest pub from the outside, but a real gem inside! We had booked a table a couple of weeks before and were glad we had- 5.30 pm on a Saturday and every table was gone… when the food came we realised why…. The homemade fish pie was fantastic! Warm friendly welcome, good service, spotlessly clean and a real log fire. A great find and a great meal!!
