We are regular visitors to Keswick and the Pheasant is one of our favourite pub/restaurant. The food is delicious, well presented and extremely good value for money. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff are attentive and welcoming.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAs usual excellent food and service. Good variety on the menus. Don't forget to check the specials. Portions are large, so 2 starters and a dessert maybe a good idea if you have a small appetite. Allow plenty of time to find a parking space as there are not many available
Horse and Farrier – PenrithCould not recommend this venue more highly. Asked fir and git a table on the flat as with a mobility impaired person. Food and drink are excellent, lots of variety. Service could not be improved

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAn Olde Worlde pub with original features including dark beams and inglewood fireplace, the place oozed charm. We had a steak and ale pie and the chicken, ham and leak. Both were served piping hot with chips and roasted vegetables. All excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The drink selection is as good as ever We have been coming for the last 3-4 years and will continue to for many more years.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe moved to area recently and have eaten out in many restaurants over the area. This is hands down our favourite restaurant. The food is phenomenal.. my goodness! Service is great and it's a lovely atmosphere. We have been 4 or 5 times now in the last 2 months and it's such a treat every time. Great work!

We did have to wait a few minutes for our table, which we didn’t mind at all, and the staff were very apologetic for the wait. Anyway the wait was worth it. The food was exceptional. We both had Sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection. So nice to get some fresh mixed vegetables along with the chunky chips, mushroom and vine tomatoes.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBooked a table for five of us for 8pm and our table was not ready, this is not a huge problem but we felt awkward standing around by other diners. The starters were nice, although arrived before we’d finished with the bread and olives. Three of us had sea bass with what were supposed to be sauté potatoes. The potatoes were large boiled in their skins and slightly brown on one side, not sautéed. The vegetables were overcooked and not very exciting. The staff were very pleasant but the meal itself was disappointing and not worth the money we paid.
