Lovely olde world pub . Great food
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFantastic food. Delicious flavours and great presentation. We had the Ostrich steaks in plum sauce which was a real treat. Friendly staff too.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereAs always we received a warm, friendly welcome by all the staff. The food and wine was absolutely delicious, all served with a smile. Can't recommend enough and we will definitely be back next time we are in Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickTook my mum here for a nice dinner while visiting Carlisle and it was just the best! Amazing service, incredible food and a really good atmosphere. The lamb is terrific but I have to say, the crumble they do is ridiculously good. A must try!
Sage and Vine – CarlisleOur favourite restaurant when we visit Carlisle. The decor, atmosphere, staff and food are 10/10. Would highly recommend it.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe stopped here on the way to the Lakes. It’s a lovely pub sat in an idyllic village. Booked a table for two with our dog for lunch. Very welcoming and food was very good. I’d seen the great reviews for the nachos and they certainly didn’t disappoint! Followed up by beef pie from the specials… great pub and great service… thanks!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent
Pig and Whistle – CartmelWas pleased they could fit us in as booked late for Sunday lunch. Food and service was amazing as always served piping hot and didn’t have to wait too long even though it was very busy. Would always recommend to book but the staff are so accommodating and will do their best to fit you in. Lovely old Inn charm.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent Pub in Keswick Warm and very welcoming staff, the food is very good always visit for a Sunday roast after a days walking about 3pm Cannot be faulted!!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickBooked Sunday lunch for two and added one on the day before. Hubby had Roast Pork, I had Roast Chicken and son had Steak pie. Absolutely lovely food, well presented, generous portions and hot. Only downside was where we were sat, it was quite tight sat in the corner and three plant pots hung on the wall which were really in the way, table needed pulling out really. But we didn’t let that spoil the afternoon. We will be back, thank you!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely place. The steak was great. My husband had the lamb and enjoyed it. The risotto was nice. Sadly, the duck wasn’t great. But, well worth a visit
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely atmosphere (loved the playlist), friendly service. Value for money. Food was delicious
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely food, excellent service, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect evening treat for 3 generations eating choosing a menu confident enough to be classic rather than attempting to be fashionable.
