Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithWe are in the area on holiday either family, and decided to try Lewis's Bistro as it is just a walk away from our cottage. What a find! Fantastic food, we all enjoyed our meals tremendously, and will definitely be going back next year. As a vegetarian, I had a choice of two dishes and I was impressed by the flavour and inventiveness that was achieved in a tofu dish. The three meat eater all raved about their food, and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we'd had together.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent meal here with a group of friends as we started the Coast to Coast hike. Food quality and presentation was excellent. Service was outstanding. Nice ambience. Stephen is a talented chef. Highly recommend.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithLovely food . Great atmosphere
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleHad a lovely evening at Rothay Garden restaurant. Food (we had cod & salmon) tasted really good and was cooked perfectly. Wine was chilled and refreshing, a pinot grigio blush. Service was superb as were our surroundings. A fabulous experience start to finish and we would definitely return. Thank you.
Rothay Garden Hotel – GrasmereWe stayed at The Wheatsheaf last year and said we would definitely return if back in the area. We popped back on Thursday 16th and booked a table for lunch and once again the food and the service was outstanding. We took our wee dog in to and they looked after him with water and a treat. We look forward to our next visit
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had a Saturday night family birthday celebration dinner at Grants recently with my extended family. The food was delicious, one of the best meals we all agreed that any of us had had in a while and the presentation excellent! The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially for the GF requirement one of us had, the F&B service was very good as well. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. We had a table at the back of the restaurant on the upper floor which was light and airy. We have no hesitation in recommending Grants at Castlegate and we hope to dine their again when next visiting our relatives in Penrith.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat food the sea bass was amazing, service was great and with some lovely English wine to boot will definitely visit again when in Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely tradition pub with yummy food. Good value. Great service. Looking forward to our next visit.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe always book a table here when were on our holidays. Super choice of cuisine ,delicious. Staff always friendly and helpful. A big thumbs up from us.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was excellent , nicely presented and good portion size . A lovely bistro in Grasmere serving quality bistro food unlike other hotels in Grasmere who provide over priced "pub food". Unfortunately there seemed to be a shortage of staff with only two serving a full house plus the turnover and made the atmosphere a bit overwhelming. However that did not deter from the fact that we enjoyed our meal.Would certainly recommend the bistro even left a note in the holiday cottage for future guests.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBest place to eat in Carlisle.Lovely food and the best service. Will always stay loyal!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleGreat food, lovely setting - would recommend
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy hubby and I had a lovely dinner here. Hubby had rump steak that he said was delicoous, although the mushrooms were a bit withered. I had home made steak and Robinsons Ale pie wguch had big chunks of sreak that was cooked perfectly and lots of gravy. The chef even swapped veg for mushy peas for me. There was too much to eat so they kindly plated it and covered with foil for us to take away. We ate leftovers today. Yum! The beer garden at the rear of the pub is a fantastic sun trap. The sports channel was on TV which could have been at a lower volume, but thats a personal view. A great pub and the guys running it are great. We will return.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsMeals were excellent. Staff very friendly. We’ve been here before and it never disappoints. Would recommend if you visit Grasmere
