We were looking forward to our Sunday lunch at Harry's Cafe Bar having eaten in the cafe at other times and been happy with what we had. However on this occasion all 4 of us were disappointed with the meal. We had the roast beef which arrived on our plate under a standard sized Yorkshire pudding, the impression being that they wanted to hide the fact that there was only one slice of beef which also carried a significant rim of fat thus reducing even further the edible portion to a few mouthfuls. For £20 a head that represents very poor value for money and whilst tender, the quality did not compensate at all for the miniscule quantity. 2 slices of beef would have been an appropriate serving in line with the price and to balance the vegetables on offer. These generally were well prepared and interesting although there could again have been more on offer given a party size of 4 adults. It was also disappointing that only one dessert was on offer and if not chosen then the only other option was a scone or a slice of cake. Again, not what you might consider to be a traditional Sunday Lunch. We won't be repeating this experience.
