As a customer who has been eating at the Pheasant for over 20 years 4 - 6 times a year when we visit I was not 100% happy with my visits this time. The service as usual was excellent, I don't mind waiting a bit longer if the food is good but the issue I have is the lack of vegetables with the meal. We were served what used to be a portion for one, made to feed 2 people. Vegetables don't cost a lot to buy or cook so cutting back on these makes no sense. Smaller potions of the main ingredients would be a better saving for yourselves. We will be back but hope we get more vegetables in the future.

Food was good, but not exceptional. Service was fine. The atmosphere was less of a restaurant or Bistro more an upmarket cafe. Too many tables, very noisy and crowded. Price rather high for what it is, £7 for a pint of lager! Not bad but I wouldn’t visit again.

Excellent food as always, excellent atmosphere, friendly staff curry and quiz night. Great fun had by all of us. First class pub.

Enjoyable evening. Good food as was the beer and wine. We had a nice comfortable table and staff knew the menu which was reassuring as one of the party required GF.

We first stumbled across The Pheasant 3 years ago on our annual visit to Keswick and each time now we book a table for at least one meal whilst there, although it’s a bit out of the way it is always really busy which says a lot to me. The food again was excellent, the staff as friendly as always, never disappointed. Although they are very dog friendly, allowing dogs in the actual pub they are not allowed in the restaurant part, which is a bonus for us as we don’t have a dog. See you on our next visit

Excellent ,our go to place in Keswick ,never disappointed. The choice for us coeliacs is good and the desert selection is tremendous. They are also very dog friendly .,so tick all the boxes for us.

Used the online booking form to reserve a table. Received an email confirmation. Turned up for our meal to be told they weren’t serving food. Very bizarre experience.

We booked for a recent Sunday lunch and had a really good meal. The menu offered plenty of choice, the food we ordered was tasty and piping hot, with generous portions (I particularly commend the kitchen for the side dishes of vegetables!) , and service was excellent.

This is our ‘go to’ stop on our way home from our holidays. As usual the staff, atmosphere and food were all great!

First time been in the bar , service was really good the lady couldn’t have been more helpful , can’t say much about the beer except they have 3/4 hand pulls on , we had Sunday lunch one beef and pork and can say it was lovely , will we be going back most definitely in September

Booked a table at The Pheasant whilst visiting Keswick and wasn't disappointed. I chose The Pheasant as my wife is a vegetarian and the Sunday lunch Mushroom Wellington sounded very appealing. Both our meals were excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient and as we finished our meal it started to poor down the manager organised a taxi to take us back to our Hotel. Thank you all at The Pheasant and we will return when next visiting Keswick.

Amazing vegetarian Sunday roast. The sides in particular were extremely good! Will be back.

Beautiful meal.... One of the best we've had, and we have had a few around and about.... Gravy was to die for... Cauliflower cheese...on my... Definitely going back. Great staff x

Visited restaurant Saturday 24th June pleasantly greeted and found the staff excellent the drinks reasonably priced and the food very good, also good portions well presented. The restaurant itself was well decorated and clean and a pleasant place to be, I noticed it was very dog friendly and this made it a more homely and welcoming place. In a beautiful building very well restored. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
