La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLoved the food, service and ambiance of the Pheasant. Very busy pub with plenty of well behaved dogs adding to the homely feel. Only in Keswick 2 days. We ate there both nights.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickA cozy pub with great food and drinks! The chicken pie with tarragon sauce was amazing and the sticky toffee pudding the best we’ve had so far on our journey through the UK!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSunday Lunch Really friendly pub. The most perfectly cooked pork I’ve ever had. Was absolutely delicious and the roast potatoes were light, crispy and extremely fluffy. All the veg was perfectly cooked and was so tasty. The lamb was beautiful too. Has to be the nicest roast we’ve had for a very long time. Highly recommended
General Burgoyne – Ulverstoneverything superb
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleEnjoyed our visit to The Pheasant. Food was excellent and the pub is obviously popular with locals and tourists alike. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickRainy Sunday so booked a table at the pheasant. Great atmosphere and great food, we both had the roast beef which was cooked beautifully. Very busy so you need to book. Would definitely go back there. Staff were very attentive.no complaints.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickVery friendly and welcoming staff and excellent food.
General Burgoyne – UlverstonWe were staying at the hotel so booked dinner as well. The restaurant was really busy for mid-week - a very good sign. Not a lot of choice so I chose steak and pepper pie which was brilliant with loads of separate gravy - and this from someone who NEVER eats pies nor gravy. My husband's gammon and eggs was not as good as some he's had but ok. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was not as good. Tea was cold, toast a bit hard, cooked breakfasts took a long time arriving, sausage with the full English was a cheap and unpleasant one, not up to the standard of a not-cheap hotel.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy favourite place to eat in Cumbria - excellent classic food, wonderful staff, and a lovely atmosphere.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWent twice this last week. Beautiful food as always. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereDown in Ulverston for the weekend. Group of 10 and over two days spent a lot of time at the General Burgoyne. Food, drink, atmosphere and staff were fantastic. Family of 10 ate here 2 days in a row and was absolutely brilliant. Catered for all dietary requirements and also some off the menu options. Highly recommend the General Gurgoyne
General Burgoyne – UlverstonThe best ace to eat in Penrith....Great food, good friendly service. Absolutely faultless.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithDelicious food. Attentive friendly staff. A lovely evening all round.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFantastic home cooking at great value. Visited again - usually have the venison bourguignon, so good. But last night the Lamb Shoulder Henry - absolutely amazing - tender, moist and enormous - and only £22 - just amazing. Has to be the best food in Keswick.
