A nice Bistro which does what it says. Provides a varied menu in an easy setting with good food

We booked for an 80th birthday party. As there were 16 attending we pre ordered starters & mains. The service was faultless, and everyone got what they had pre ordered. The food was lovely, with not one complaint from our party. The chef even made a nice plain cheesy past for the kids, which wasn't on the menu. Can fully recommended.

First time visit and would highly recommend. Each course was delicious and of high quality, service friendly but not intrusive. A must visit in grasmere

Excellent food, attentive staff. One of the best fish pies my wife says she’s ever had. My steak pie was delicious, only criticism is there was not enough veg between 2. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely outdoor area upstairs, staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Service was good. The food was delicious, everything we ordered was very good indeed, and the prices were very reasonable. The only down side was that the tables were physically very small, close together and we were quite cramped, my chair was not very comfortable. Other than that, an excellent choice with highly recommended food and staff.

Wow!!! this was our first visit to the Pheasant Inn, the food was beautiful, the service was amazing and the pub was clean and so friendly and welcoming, every single member of staff were kind and helpful. I had the best steak I have had in years and they were very careful to suitably cater to our gluten free requirements. Fantastic service even though they were also incredibly busy, thank you so much!! 100% recommend!

31st May 2023 Had a great 3 courses in LEWIS’S last evening. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxing while the service was very personable and cheery. The food was excellent - from the black pudding starter to the STP with a locally sourced succulent & perfectly cooked fillet steak right in the middle. Highly recommended as a treat on any stay in Grasmere, booking essential to secure a table and avoid being disappointed........which you will be if you don't visit (IMO)

A superb meal (excellent rack of lamb and pork belly), in comfortable surroundings, with attentive and thoughtful service. Will definitely go again when we're in the area.

Excellent food and service.

The Sunday lunch at Harry’s at Yew Tree Barn was absolutely superb. Quality tender perfectly cooked beef and delightfully crispy Yorkshire Pudding but it was the vegetables which really exceeded our expectations being deliciously prepared and finished with tasty seasonings and were dishes in their own right. The Pavlova dessert was beautifully presented and delicious. Being local we have eaten at most of the well know country Sunday lunch restaurants in the Lake District and we both agree that Harry’s is simply the best. We will be back and can’t wait to try out the new evening supper menu.

A wonderful restaurant! Great food and service, we loved every single dish. Nothing was too much trouble, there was a lovely warm welcome and a calm atmosphere. We would recommend the fish dishes we had, they were really delicious. The desserts were just as good, especially the Baileys Roulade. We cannot wait to return.

This was our second visit and was absolute perfection again. It is an expensive night so a real treat however the food is outstanding and the staff are fab so we’ll worth the money. We shared Olive’s and bread, both had the fillet steak and these were cooked perfectly, I had the delicious cheesecake and my husband had the affogato - Highly recommend!

What a lovely little bistro in Grasmere there is a nice intimate atmosphere here The staff are very friendly and helpful The food quality was excellent Can recommend the Belly pork and sea bass We will definitely be returning

Attended la mezzaluna whilst on holiday. It did not disappoint. Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. Would definitely go back if up in Carlisle. Thank you ❤️
