Great food again but all felt a bit rushed. Couldn’t also understand why diners are all bunched together on arrival instead of all being more spaced out. Service was attentive and prompt, will dine with Lewis again but please allow a bit more time between courses when the resturant is not full.

Our first visit to Lewis's and certainly wont be our last! Fantastic food and service provided. Best fillet steak I have had for a long time, thank you very much for a nice evening ladies xx

Very enjoyable dinner at Lewis's. Seabass fillets were generous (unlike many restaurants) and the bakewell tart desert was fab. Highly recommend.

Excellent dinner - we both had the chicken supreme which was delicious. A lovely pineapple tarte tatin to follow. We gave our thanks to the chefs! Nothing too much trouble for the busy serving staff. Proper 'local pub' atmosphere. Would definitely revisit when next in the area.

Had a fantastic weekend at the Wheatshief. We were looked after very well. Great front of house and good food. Room clean, pub lovely. We will definitely come back. The only area where it could improve is the stairs and landing were not clean and need to be vacuumed and the pub floor when you come down for breakfast needs a sweep. Seemed to be a shame that everything was really good except the public areas. However we will return again

Pork belly dish tasted fantastic, but plate and potatoes weren’t very warm. Potatoes were missing from the fish dish and we were told they shouldn’t have been on the menu. Found this a bit odd, but they were provided at our request. Cheesecake for dessert was one of the best I’ve tasted. More serving staff needed, but I realise this is difficult at the moment.

Food was lovely, beef very tender. Piping hot. Deserts expensive for a desert that we thought would be home cooked. Crumble was like jelly and crumble was not like crumble

Booked for our meal via the website, got email confirmation. Arrived early & our table was ready - staff very attentive and friendly. Plenty choice on menu - food was delicious. Food arrived quickly and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our party. Staff checked table for more drinks and that food was ok.

Another fabulous meal at the Pheasant Inn. The homemade food is very tasty. Perfect end to a walking day. Local beer is highly recommended too. Friendly, welcoming staff.

My friend & I were greeted with a lovely friendly welcome, there was a good selection of food to choose from on the Menu as well as a 'Specials Board' The food was very good & so tasty, we would definitely recommend it, a nice mix of locals & visitors created a lovely atmosphere.

The food, ambience and service were all excellent. A very refreshing change to be able to actually hear chatter rather than some screaming diva. The food was clearly prepared by someone who enjoys producing a quality meal. Those serving the food and drinks were attentive and knew about what they were serving. A thoroughly pleasant dining experience. We also stayed overnight and the room was beautifully clean and well set out. Breakfast was very well presented and delicious. Well done Team Beetham!

First of all the staff are great, excellent service and thankfully had still saved our table even though we were late and they had such demand they could have easily given it away. The food is delicious and the menu far beyond your usual pub. It’s in no way overpriced and has a lovely atmosphere.

Absolute quality. Would thoroughly recommend. Food and staff faultless.
