Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlislePerfect food in a wonderful pub/restaurant. Great choice of food and drinks. Helpful and welcoming staff. Will return.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe enjoyed delicious rack of lamb served by helpful and friendly staff. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent as well. Another most enjoyable evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had an exceptional dinner at Lewis' Bistro. The food was extremely high quality, exceedingly local, and good value. The meat eaters enjoyed the local lamb and pork and the vegetarian in our group was also very happy with his meal. The chees board for 3 was excellent and local too. Well done!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBest ice cream in Cumbria the Parma violet is lovely and cookies and cream is another of my favourites.
Hartley’s Ice Cream – EgremontSecond visit for a meal, and again loved the food. One of my favourite Thai meals and chips wow the best I’ve had in a long time
Kings Arms – UlverstonAbsolutely amazing meal last night, yet again. Family of 2 adults and 3 children. Our favourite pub in the area and it didn't disappoint. All 5 meals were excellent, we all cleared our plates and the portions were generous. Food all fresh, hot and delicious. Only ever so slight negative this time would be we were on a table for 4, so the children had to squish up a bit. Also directly opposite the front door and adjacent to the bar area, so it was a little chilly everytime the door was opened and there were always people stood right next to our table waiting for the bar. I do usually request a table in the dining area but forgot on this occasion. But only a minor problem and they were fully booked.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAte here many times with family and friends and has always been great. Very reasonably priced good quality food and great staff. Also stopped off many times for a drink and everyone so friendly atmosphere has always been lovely. Highly recommend for either food drink or both. Cheers Manny and the team see you again very soon x
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsAbsolutely delicious Sunday lunch and crumble for pudding was to die for. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when we visit Keswick again.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad a really lovely meal here .. food was delicious and staff and service really good
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe were visiting Carlisle for a concert, so I booked a table using the restaurant's online booking service which worked remarkably well. We arrived at the restaurant on time and were shown to our table. It should be noted that this restaurant is an intimate dining experience as the dining room isn't huge, however, the food is worth the wait. Part of my small party of four are regular visitors to Rome as their family is a mix of Italian and English. If you're visiting Carlisle, be it for a short stay or extended visit, and want to experience a lovely dining experience with authentic Italian food, you won't go wrong in choosing this restaurant for lunch or an evening meal. PS. You won't get stung for a basket of bread or a carafe of water on the table either!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely country pub, very cozy with excellent food and great friendly service. Been visiting the Wheatsheaf for a number of years and never had a bad meal. On our visit yesterday, really enjoyed the fish and chips and my wife loved her butternut squash and lentil dahl.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWell worth a visit
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery relaxed, great service and wonderful food.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAmazing from first point of contact. We booked a table of 17 with 3 children, had 3 birthdays. They let us take balloons, banners and cakes which they brought all the cakes out together and sang happy birthday. The food was hot, tasty and amazing. We would defo recommend
