Excellent food and service on our recent visit to launch mezalluna, will certainly be returning.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleHave dined here many times over the last few years and will admit the experience went downhill a little from our initial impression. However our last two recent visits have seen a noticeable turnaround. Last night the online booking was easy, the service was perfect and the food was very very good. We’ll worth a try if you haven’t been, we will continue to go for sure.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWent for early evening meal with grandchildren, lovely meal and fab service made to feel very welcome and the waitress was lovely with the children, would highly recommend
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleOur first visit to The Pheasant Inn, great food and service from the staff.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLoved the ambience but the food was the real winner! Fantastic quality and quantity. Thoroughly recommend a visit but make sure you book.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereA really enjoyable visit with a lovely savoury afternoon tea in comfortable surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful and served an excellent gluten free alternative meal. We would certainly recommend Augill Castle and we intend to return for dinner in the near future.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenExcellent small Bistro with a good menu. Quality of food was very good, I had a fillet steak which was as good as I have eaten in a long time. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Glad we looked on line before travelling and booked this venue.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe have an evening meal, it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the mushroom and walnut pate and I had the potted shrimps to start. For main I had the burger and the Dahl for my other half, we both had a dessert as we were enjoying everything so much we didn't want it to end. The taste and look of every dish was excellent. The staff were super efficient and all cheerful and so helpful. I would certainly recommend anyone to try it as I am sure they will not be disappointed.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely to sit out in the courtyard garden for pre dinner drinks. Service friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, fresh ingredients, well conceived combinations. So much better than the pub and no more expensive.
Grants Of Castlegate – Penrithdelicious food and lovely service
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe wanted to find somewhere different to eat on Saturday, and booked in at Grants, which we had been meaning to visit for some time. We couldn't have made a better choice! The service was excellent - friendly without being over-familiar, slick and professional, and service timing was spot on. The food, moreover............. absolutely marvellous. I can't remember the last time we had such a delightful meal. Neither of us could find a single thing that could have been improved. We are fortunate in the Penrith area to have a lot of very good restaurants, and up until a few years ago delighted in the cuisine of the Sharrow Bay, now alas closed. I'd say Grants was well set up to rival our memories of that world famous Hotel, and we shall be visiting again as often as we can manage
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithOn the hottest day the UK has on record the staff were great. Food doesn’t fail to please. Will be back soon.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a superb Sunday Lunch. Great service and a friendly atmosphere.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAmazing food, service and efficiency. Our party had a great evening. Will definitely be back.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleNo starters available, very poor vegan and vegetarian offerings, under staffed. Not a good experience.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe book The Pheasant Inn whenever we visit Keswick which is usually three times a year because we can rely on the same high standard of the food on offer. We have never been disappointed.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickCame here with high recommendations from our B&B. Food was steaming hot and delicious but unfortunately server was either distracted or didn’t want to be at work. She hardly checked in to see if we wanted or needed nothing else.
