Was there on Thursday with my son the food was really good staff were great

For years we’ve enjoyed eating at LaMezzaluna. We’ve never had a bad meal there.

The menu doesn't have a wide choice, but both the starter (mallard breast) and the main (monkfish tails) were excellent. I would have had a beer with it, but the drinks menu is slanted towards lager. Maybe that's what their customers prefer. The staff were very friendly.

Excellent bistro in centre of Grasmere. Could not fault this place, lovely atmosphere and the food was exceptional. Good choice of menu well cooked and large portions. Will definitely return when next in beautiful Grasmere. An absolute gem

My wife and I had an evening meal on Friday 3rd June. The staff were very polite, attentive and friendly and made us feel welcome. We were pleased that the pub is dog-friendly, as we had our small well-behaved dog with us - several other customers also had dogs with them and none of them were any trouble - it was nice to see a dog-friendly pub. Nice decor and atmosphere. We both had the steak and ale pie, which was very nice plus some puddings. I tried both the real ales - both of which were excellent. We will definitely come again!

Wonderful dining experience. The food was exceptional. Served promptly and beautifully presented. Staff attentive and friendly. Ambience perfect. We will definitely come back.

Had a lovely meal with my wife and sister. Food was great, can recommend the beef pie and the vegetable wellington. Pub was really busy so best to book ahead. We used the online booking system which worked perfectly. Would happily eat here again.

Lovely meal on our last night in Grasmere. Food superb, so tasty and portions were spot on. Service was very quick, a little too quick in places but this is just the staff trying to be efficient rather than hurrying you along. When we asked for time to finish our wine before ordering dessert, the server was more than happy to oblige. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely come back to Lewis’s.

We had a great evening at the Pheasant. Food was really good. A varied menu offering plenty of choice. The staff were excellent in the speed of service and in their attention to the customers.

On arrival had our names crossed off as they thought we’d already had arrived. Requested a window table but ended up in the rear of restaurant. No Seabass on the menu ran out. All of the prices we’re different between the online menu, printed menu’s located outside and the actual menus at the tables, with a much increased price per meal. On the plus side food ordered was very good just let down by attention to detail when it comes to service and the updated information

Lovely meal for 4 yesterday - good portion sizing, everything priced in line with what would have been expected and good service. Will be returning.

We had a lovely Sunday roast the beef was delicious as was everything else. The yorkies were huge. Service was quick efficient and friendly.

The whole experience of the evening meal was outstanding. The food was of the highest quality with so many tastes to enjoy. Well worth the cost. The staff serving were efficient and so friendly. The whole meal was made even more enjoyable because of a very relaxed atmosphere of the castle environment. After the meal we sat by the lovely log fire with our coffees and soaked up the whole ambiance of the castle.

Food was amazing! Lovely friendly atmosphere - one of the best places to eat in Grasmere! All staff were really accommodating and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!
