excellent home cooked food probably one of the best meals ive had for a long time quality food and generous portions great service too from the friendly staff

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Pheasant on 2nd October. It's a popular, friendly, homely, roadside inn. We ate in the bar as we had two collies with us. They were made very welcome. Food was excellent, helpings generous, everything cooked to perfection.

What can I say was originally recommended the Pheasant, but now I recommend, ,was busy when we arrived ,but the staff still had time for us ,food as always amazing good quality our only disappointment was no molten chocolate pudding Won't stop us coming back Well done to all the staff

Food lovely and great value, good selection of drinks although little choice of lager. Very good service considering there was 8 of us dining there again. Looking forward to going again and will book online to ensure we get a table.

I’m Coeliac and had best biggest fish in such light batter amazing homemade chips. The starter of shrimp with GF toast was beautiful. Too full for dessert but there were GF options. Went in the evening and it was a beautiful relaxed feel with the candles and not close to other tables. A lovely night with my other half. He had a great meal too. Decent prices too. Highly recommend.

Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf wow! Absolutely gorgeous food and outstanding service couldn’t fault it would highly recommend and look forward to eating there again.

Excellent food and great service in a lovely bistro setting in the heart of Grasmere. Everything was perfect.

It was our first time in Keswick and we were not sure where to eat. We're so glad we found Plant by Kat's Kitchen. It has a relaxing atmosphere and the food is excellent too! We'll definitely go again.

Dined here on Wednesday evening 5th October. Superb food and good choice of all courses. Good selection of wines too. Food and drink very realistically priced. Service quick and professional. The young lady waiting on our table couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was good. Prices very, very reasonable compared to most eateries in Keswick. Little way out of town but regular buses to and from Keswick stop right outside. Make sure to book though as gets very busy every night.

Amazing food in a great atmosphere - thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful!! Our stays in Grasmere would not be complete without a meal at Lewis's!

We love coming to the Pheasant when we are in Keswick. The food is always very good and the service is good and very friendly.

Lovely meal last night, great food and excellent service.

As usual the service was excellent and the quality of the food was very good. We dine at the Wheatsheaf prior to going to the Heron Theatre, which is quite often. It would be nice if some variation of the menu could be offered.

Food stone cold as was my son’s. They took it back to the kitchen but my son had finished his meal and I hadn’t got mine back so told them not to bother. Waitress came running after us as we walked out of the door to say the food was ready now. Always had lovely meals here but this has put me off completely.
