Staying for a long weekend just outside Keswick the pheasant inn was recommended for Sunday lunch . Unfortunately the only time slots still available on the early afternoon sitting were 12 & 12:15pm. I think they do cater for walk ins but I would advise pre booking (But unlike me more than the previous evening). The pheasant is easy to book online. You can book a table in either the dog friendly or not areas of the inn. On arrival for our 12 15 booking we waited at the bar and a member of staff showed us to our table. We ordered drinks (local craft beers) and when they arrived we ordered two Sunday roasts. We had probably a twenty minute wait ,but it was worth the wait! The food was deliciously cooked and there was plenty of it ! I had beef the gaffer had chicken. Unlike some places the Yorkshire puddings are a cheap way of filling a plate. But these were balanced on top of the roast. Unfortunately we can't comment on the desert menu as we were too full! For the area I think just over £20 is good value. The staff are very friendly and even though it was very busy the chef took time out to ask if everything was ok Overall I would highly recommend the pheasant inn for Sunday lunch. But pre book to avoid disappointment!

I had the roast beef Ciabatta which was lovely but the salad that came with it was very uninspiring, just a few leaves, onion and 2 bits of pepper but worst of all no dressing.

I visit Mezaluna often and had Lovely service and food as usual. The staff are always pleasant .

Food and service was outstanding. Good value for money, will definitely be back.

Great meal and atmosphere

Food is absolutely gorgeous!! Couldn't pick a favourite from the tapas dishes because every one is amazing. Staff are so nice nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be back x

We had a large group and the service was excellent. We had a late add on and it was no problem at all they happily accommodated us. Food was very tasty and would definitely go back.

Absolutely amazing, we came here last time whilst at the lakes and we always remember how gorgeous the food was, so we definitely had to come back whilst in the lakes. Perfect again, staff so friendly and the steak pie was amazing!! We got a Christmas cracker and chocolate mints with bill which was a lovely touch. 1000% recommend this cosy pub.

Excellent food and service as always. Can rely on the Horse and Farrier for good wholesome food and a relaxed comfortable atmosphere.

This was a delicious meal with friendly service and a very cheerful atmosphere. Our visitor was delayed on her train- not a problem - no pressure to order until she arrived . Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Been here a few times meeting up with family from Chorley and Northumberland,a hallway house, handy by station. Lovely place and service staff, nice quality food and sensible wine prices. Well be back again next year Thanks

Lovely cosy pub atmosphere, with great views. Food of high quality and generous servings. Food came promptly. We were very happy and overall it was great value and very enjoyable.
