La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWarm and friendly atmosphere. Good service and a lovely building with great character. The venison burger delicious.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food, fantastic staff and service. We regularly visit, walking over from Pooley Bridge for drinks or food or both and we are never disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe’ve eaten out at a couple of establishments locally and frankly appreciating the area, they were just not worth the money. This eatery is different, staff were extremely friendly, the food was piping hot, in good quantity and very very tasty. Would highly recommend.
Horse and Farrier – Penrithbeautiful as always
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe enjoyed a family get together for dinner. Great service and tasty food that came out quickly. Thank you Horse and Farrier for a lovely dinner out.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithThe BEST roast I’ve had that’s not been cooked by my mum. I’ve been coming to the Lake District on holiday for years and never fail come and visit to have something to eat or drink. If anyone asks where to go in the lakes I always tell them a must try is the food at the pheasant inn. Homely and traditional British food, cooked fantastically. Just what you want after a day walking on the fells. Staff are always so warm and accommodating, and walking distance if you’re staying in Keswick. Looking forward to booking my table for my next trip!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOne of the best meals we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was so tasty and the staff were excellent. A must visit if you’re in the Lakes
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat meal besetting service fab!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWorth a visit
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereIt was ok. Unfortunately not many beers on hand to choose. Service was OK but nothing above or beyond to say, food was fine. If perfectly honest the whole experience was not as good as previous years, just something missing. I suggest you start with your front of house engagement.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and service in a very homely atmosphere. Looking forward to eating there again on our next trip to the north lakes.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithI honestly thought it was excellent - food selection and quality was very good- yes a little bit more expensive than a cheap pub but absolutely worth it - steak and risotto absolutely top notch. Impressed that your house wine was very reasonably priced, and that it was a quiet pub, I was with my elderly mum and loud music is always an issue. Top marks all around !
Horse and Farrier – PenrithThoroughly enjoyable evening, fabulous food.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithGreat bistro, pleasant staff & great food
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFirst time visiting, the food and service was amazing, would definitely recommend and book again when we are back holidaying in the The Lakes
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBeautiful food! King prawns to start were amazing. Both main pasta dishes were delicious too. Great service and atmosphere. We will be back!
