Great staff and lovely welcome. Sunday Roast (local lamb and beef) was beautifully cooked and presented. The lamb was melt in the mouth …I would have loved another slice! Very handy for a little wander up to Fairy steps.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had a booking for 5th April for my son’s birthday. We called the day before to check that the main menu was available, with it being Easter Sunday and we was told it was. We were greeted well on arrival and served drinks. After 15/20 mins of reviewing the menu, we were asked for our food order, to then be told all starters were off the menu and all burgers. Given half the party wanted a burger and all of us wanted a starter, this was a disappointment. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere. It would have been better to tell us on arrival for future reference.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe were lucky enough to have Easter Sunday lunch here. Roast beef, pork, chicken, the Lamb Henry and Lakeland steak pie were all wonderful. All the food was of the highest quality. Set in a traditional, dog friendly pub with a roaring log fire. We will definitely be back. (Already booked in)

We where sat upstairs with lovely views of the citadel . The food as always was amazing 2 of us had risotto which was faultless the prawn dish again was amazing. We will always recommend la mezz

Always well looked after by all the staff and would definitely recommend if you are visiting Keswick, but you better book in advance as it's always nice and busy.
