Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis was our first visit to the Queens Head as we were visiting the area for a holiday. I booked a table and made mention it was my wife's birthday. We were warmly welcomed and the team had decorated the table with a banner and balloons as a birthday treat. The food was good and the atmosphere comfortable with a lovely open fire blazing. Service was very friendly but slow Overall an excellent visit and will go again

Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleI have lived in Cumbria for well over 20 years but this was my first visit. 3 of us went for a meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. My haddock was cooked to perfection and the other 2 meals also met with enthusiastic comments.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithMy husband and I visited for lunch on a rainy Monday. I'm glad I booked as it was a very busy lunch service. The server was on her own until 14:00 and she was amazing! She served all the tables, ran the bar and all with a smile! We both ordered the steak pie, mine with mash, my husband had chips. The food was delicious! Buttery shortcrust pastry with chunky, tender beef. There was a great atmosphere, everyone was relaxed, enjoying their food and a beer. If you like good, home cooked 'pub food' with great service, this is the place for you! Definitely worth a visit when in Keswick!
