Amazing restaurant with wonderful service!

Warm welcome on arrival, staff very attentive and friendly. Food was served quickly and was delicious despite how busy it was. Lovely atmosphere we will be back.

Food is delicious every time, access and car parking are easy, great experience

Friendly bar staff. Enjoyed a traditional rag pudding with tender meat and delicious gravy, mushy peas and chips. Had a pint of Cumbria Way, very tasty. Very dog friendly and Lily enjoyed the chips.

This was our first visit since the management change and we are very pleased to report that all is well - a good meal in the dining room and Louisa and Grace looked after us well. The pub looks as though it has also been smartened up a little and with an open fire, what's not to like

First time i have been it was recommended to me by friends and wow it was amazing! The waitress was so friendly and helpful and the food was unreal! The variety of breads was unreal. I lived the gammon and the baked feta. Can't wait to return. Thanks

Booked two nights with two mates here when staying opposite in a holiday home. What a right choice that was . Fabulous service, a warm welcome and food and drink of a high quality. The fact this place is pretty full on week nights in November says everything you need to know. I recommend you pre-book as doubt you would get in otherwise. My husband & I dined here a few years back & throughly enjoyed it, so of course we re-booked during our stay in Grasmere. Again, we couldnt fault the food it was amazing & the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the rave going on in the kitchen was slightly distracting… didnt seem to deter the chef though so not sure if its a complaint or not?!

You aren't going to get better food anywhere. The pork belly is devine, excellent service from friendly staff. I don't need to say anything more.

We always come here for dinner one night when staying in Grasmere. Great food and choice of drinks with fantastic service. We shared a scallop and black pudding starter then I opted for the seabass as a main which was delicious and my hubby chose the pork, he said it was melt in the mouth tender and quite a large portion. We skipped dessert but had a Cheeseboard to share accompanied by a glass of port each. Cannot fault and can recommend.

Didn't enjoy the food and drinks but the atmosphere and staffs were fantastic.

The service was excellent from the minute we entered the pub. The guys were super attentive and very friendly. My wife had the Beef Pie which she said was excellent. I had the Fish Pie, which was packed with Salmon, Smoked Fish and Mussels. It also had lots of mash and topped with melted cheese. The only negative for me, was it was a little dry and could have done with having more sauce within the pie.

Excellent meal, good portions and good value for money. Previously wasn't keen on the real ales offered, but this time the selection was great and included old peculiar. Will definitely go back again.
