Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleWonderful dining experience. Delicious, top quality food. Very pleasant staff.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWhat can I say, top draw from start to finish. A warm welcome as soon as we got through the door and then directed to the table which had chilled water already on the table. The host asked if we had been before ( which we hadn't) so talked through the menu making suggestions on the options, and making sure we understood before asking us for the drinks order. The food was amazing, along with the Pinot Noir wine which was light and complemented the food. We will be back to try the other options on the menu.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleGreat food and setting with lovely attentive staff
Sage and Vine – CarlisleAbsolutely lovely lunchtime meal .. great food .. great service … lovely atmosphere.. well worth a visit … we will be back
Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleExcellent meal which we both thoroughly enjoyed (we had the Lamb rib and Duck breast). Nice drinks too, Friendly efficient service. Good cheesebord too.. Only (very small) "critisim" is that meal is as-is with no potatoes etc... but still plentyful.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithThe food and drinks were overpriced. The food was ok. The staff were nice and friendly.

Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe had a lovely meal i n the Hope and Anchors restaurant. The team were busy with a large party but suggested we order our food then retire to the garden with a drink, for them to call us when our meal was ready - and this is exactly what they did. The meal was tasty, hot and well presented. The staff were very friendly and efficient and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The service was great. The meal was excellent value for money
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGreat food, friendly staff, good choice on menu
Pheasant Inn – Keswick13th August. Enjoyed a lovely dinner for three. The starters and main courses were very thoughtfully put together. There were unusual and lovely combinations of flavours. Loved the heritage beetroot salad starter. Our son who is a real foodie was very impressed. Beer very good as well (fine local craft ales). Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. We'll be back
Horse and Farrier – PenrithExcellent meal, delicious flavours and presentation amazing
Horse and Farrier – PenrithBeautifully cooked, tasty and interesting food served with friendly discretion. Lots of choice for meat eaters and delicious vegetarian options available. A real gastronomic treat.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithThis was a great find on our recent holiday to Grasmere. The food was excellent quality and there was a lovely choice of dishes - sadly we went on our last night so we will have to wait until our next visit to try other items. Service was very friendly and helpful and the chef even came and gave our dog a bowlful of leftover ham which he was obviously delighted by! We will definitely visit again and can highly recommend.
