Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWe met a friend here for a meal. We’d been before for an anniversary treat, and again were very impressed by the food, the atmosphere and the service. The menu had lots of interesting options and our vegetarian-opting friend had plenty to choose from. Our meals came promptly (but not too quickly!) and were well-presented and delicious. Service was friendly and professional and the atmosphere was laid-back and relaxed while being sophisticated.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleA Christmas night out and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A group of 5, we all ordered off the Christmas menu and all the food was lovely. The price was £30 for 3 courses which was reasonable. The service was great. Been many times before and quattros never disappoints. My only gripe is the house wine prices. Deffo could be a bit cheaper but it'll never stop me coming.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkWOW is the only word for Brizola. The warm and super friendly atmosphere is only complimented by the amazing food. The current special of pigs in blankets can only be described as heavenly! Every plate of food was so tasty. Cannot recommend this place more highly!!
Brizola Bar & Grill – ClitheroeWe had a very pleasant stay. The room was warm and comfortable. The pub was homely with great service. The food was excellent and the poached eggs at breakfast were perfect. Would definitely return.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeExcellent food and friendly staff
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterPros: great food, good drinks menu, most staff are friendly. If you want middle aged rowdy, rather than fake ID rowdy with the kids in the bars further down, it’s ideal. Downside: deafeningly noisy. Having to talk loudly all through your meal so the person next to you can just about hear you, is draining. Also, it’s small plates that come in waves, and our sultry waiter just placed the new plates he brought on top of the old ones, rather than taking them away, until it was such a cramped mess, we cleared some of it away ourselves and put them on the bar. Bear in mind this venue is a bar as well as a restaurant, and there’s no real divide between the two, so avoid weekend evenings if you’re looking for a relaxing meal out.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallSuch a nice place to sit but what a forgettable eating experience. Two Game Pies that had sat under heat lamps or worse still, had been re-heated multiple times till the pastry was brittle and the contents bone dry. Veg that was cold, a fish dish that was over cooked and a salad that was smothered in an excess of mayonnaise. I really hope this was a one off service and not another case of the King with no clothes.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe loved it at A'Vucciria. We chose 5 dishes between two of us, plus dessert and I thought that was perfect. We recommend the bruschetta and lamb, although we enjoyed every dish! Very good service and the cocktails where also delicious. What a little gem, we will definitely be back!
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallLovely place, lovely people. Food was outstanding and so was the wine
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAbsolutely excellent food and service as always. Mussel starter was huge, but I finished it! Rib Eye cooked to perfection. Cointreau and orange brulee, delicious and so big I had to share it. Looking forward to our next visit.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleOur first visit and won’t be out last. Fantastic meal and service, compliments to the catering team. We are both formers army chefs and my friend still catering knows how hard you all work
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenExcellent midweek meal at The Station. Very pleasant and efficient staff. The garlic mushrooms were perfectly cooked as was the pizza. Definitely my pub of choice for food, beer and atmosphere.
The Station Hotel – LancasterThe café has a fantastic community feel with friendly staff. The food is made from high class, locally sourced produce and the prices represent excellent value for money, they even sell home made meals for one, to reheat at home and they have a lovely deli section. A must ‘go to’ eatery in the Chorley area.
Bees Kitchen and Deli – ChorleyGood food excellent service all at a reasonable price.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyExcellent on all fronts . Food was fabulous and very good portions . Great service with a lively buzzing atmosphere on a Monday night . Other pubs could learn a thing or two on how to be successful in tough times . There are a few places locally that used to be good but are now pushing up prices , reducing portion size and menu options which won’t entice customers to eat out. We will definitely return for lunch and evening meals . Well done and keep up the good work !
The Station Hotel – LancasterExcellent dinner at Quatros, Food was lovely and the staff excellent.
