Tasty food. Good vibe. Great value! Only mild criticism is that my peri peri chicken burger could have had more kick!!

Excellent as usual. Our first visit for Steak and Date night but probably not our last. Steak was mouth-wateringly tasty and excellent value for money. Staff extremely efficient on a very busy evening but professional and pleasant. A lovely evening.

Really enjoyed the Wednesday night steak deal which is very good value. The steak was quality meat cooked exceptionally well. The side dishes were particularly tasty. Very happy with the attentive and professional service from the team. We’ll definitely be going back for the wider menu!

I’ve always liked the Whitchaff as I used to go there in the 80’s! It’s lovely to see it refurbished (at last) and want it to be successful. I think the menu choice is great and the service is good most of the time. Reports are that it is a little “on and off”. Service is so, so important and I really do hope that this is focused on. That really is the success of any restaurant.

Christmas Eve meal. Delicious food. Very friendly, helpful staff. Especially loved the cheese souffle starter. Would definitely go back if visiting the area again. Will recommend.

Fabulous brunch for four of us. Lovely warm welcome and great service. Food was perfect and atmosphere was great - we will definitely be back.

Went yesterday lunch for my birthday, first time we have been at lunch, wasn’t disappointed the food and service was excellent as usual, large portions and cooked to perfection x

Fabulous food. Had the turkey dinner and it was beautiful and generous for a great price. Pub is lovely having had a recent refurb. White wine was not very cold. And staff don’t acknowledge when we arrived so stood for quite a while at the bar waiting to advise we had arrived. Those are minor gripes. The food, the place, the value, and the service (post the arrival experience) were all great. We will be back, lots!

We have been eating here for a few years and it never ever fails to impress. Last night’s meal was absolutely stunning. Delicious & interesting dishes with fantastic service and such a lovely festive atmosphere. So lucky to have this place on our doorstep.

Disappointing, I’ve always loved wings and beer and we booked to go over Christmas for a date night. We ordered the food and it was relatively quiet in the restaurant and we were sat near the kitchen, we saw that our food was ready and it sat under the kitchen heaters for approx. 20 minutes without any staff going to the kitchen to serve the food. Once brought over, it was cold and there was no one around to complain to until we had to ask for the plates to be taken away about an hour and a half later. On complaining we just got an apology, no compensation/free drink, we also had to pay a 10% service charge when placing the order through the app and failed to see any real service since our food was left to go cold and we had to ask for our table to be cleared. We both felt unwell after eating and now won’t be going back.

Excellent food, wine and service as always. We really enjoyed the Christmas spirit and menu during our last visit.

Remarkable renovation. Hard to believe its the same premises. Very well laid out and decorated and much more spacious. However it's not so much a pub that does food now, more a restaurant serving drinks. I can live with that as on this, our first post renovation visit, the quality of the food was excellent. Traditional fare but very well cooked and presented. Additionally the staff were very friendly and efficient and, to add to my satisfaction, the bill was very reasonable given overall all round quality, location surroundings and welcome offered. Will def. be back soon and have already recommended to many.

Booked a brunch slot online the day before, visited with my my wife and daughter. Food was delicious, staff attentive and friendly. Hoping to visit again soon for the Tapas night.

We visited your restaurant earlier in the week. Whilst acknowledging how busy it was, the service was poor and we had to chase someone to take our drink and food order. The food was good but not hot enough. When we complained to the waitress she said that she was sorry. We did not get the drinks we ordered with our meal. The atmosphere was good but the bar area was cold.

We had a great meal at Toms Table , great atmosphere and lovely staff
