Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreAll round good food and service, only a 4 on atmosphere as it was Sunday teatime and quite
L’Aquila Prestwich – PrestwichThe perfect place to visit on a sunny afternoon! The place has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and great decor! It looks like it catches the sun all afternoon - the placed was bathed with light when we went in at 5pm. The place was full but not rammed and the service was really friendly and efficient! It looked like it was a really fun place to work to be honest! Then comes the best bit! The food!! First off, portions are big - which isn't essential but was really appreciated, everything about this place says generosity! I had the roast option which is basically a Jamaican take on a Sunday Roast I suppose and if you're one for sweet roast veg with light fresh rice and spicy succulent soft BBQed meats with that zingy coating with absolutely filthy (in a good way) proper Mac n cheese... well this is the place. Honestly this is such an absolute win for Chorlton! Personally, i'm sick of everyone selling pizza here - Let's be honest, it's not a style or taste thing, it's a profit margin thing. I get it that hospitality's struggling at the moment but the Drop proves to everyone else that a genorous exciting dining experience for around £15 - £25 a head is still possible! An absolute gem.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonI had high hopes for this places, as I was recommended. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed, I couldn’t believe 3 small pieces of jerk chicken cost £14.50. If you wanted extra rice, that was £3 and extra gravy was £2 but this came in a small dipping pot. The food was very mediocre and lacked flavour if I’m being honest. In terms of value for money, I would say it’s expensive for what you are getting. My friend order the chicken stew & dumpling, but there were no dumplings with her stew. When we asked about it the waiter didn’t seem to have a clue as to what was going on, moments later. I believe the chef or owner brought out a small dish which contained more carrots and potatoes, advised this is the ‘dumplings’. The cocktails were also very disappointing, there were no flavour and all I could taste was the alcohol. Both myself and my friend were unable to drink this. Although the staff were friendly, they weren’t vigilant In terms of checking on tables or making sure you had cutlery to use prior to you food arriving. I got a very much ‘whatever’ vibe from them. There’s a lot of improvement that needs to be made and unfortunately I won’t be returning.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonLovely food , great service on a busy Friday night
Gnammy Italy – StockportExcellent service and food.

L’Aquila Prestwich – PrestwichThursday March 30th. My brother and I called in at 5.30 for a pre concert meal at the Halle. Met at door by Boss & shown to table 1. Delicious meal all round , great service and nice chat with the boss. Does get busy, so book and enjoy. Fantastic meal back on the 27th. Thanks to all. Walter.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreLovely cosy cafe full of quirky antiques. Have been coming here since they first opened, usually just for coffee. We came for a light lunch in a party of three to celebrate two birthdays. Food good and service excellent. However, disappointed once more that no alcohol-free wine or fizz available - and, due to a very sad bereavement in the family, no alcohol could be served until the licence has been amended. Still, we enjoyed ourselves. NB: The website could do with being updated, once the family have recovered from their awful time.
The Gallery – UrmstonFood was amazing as always, my favourite place to eat. All the staff are lovely too. A family were allowing their small children to run around unsupervised whist screaming and it was nice to see how the staff dealt with this.

The Gallery – UrmstonFantastic meal for a family of four! One child with a dairy allergy, which the restaurant was more than able to cater for. Food was excellent and the service perfect!
Panama Hattys Grill – Prestwichwe love it here so much!! amazing live music, food is always amazing and the service is so warm and friendly, especially the long-haired guy - not sure of his name - but he’s so lovely and helpful. this place is mine and my friends’ absolute favourite, can’t wait to come back soon.
The Art of Tea – DidsburyWe had such a great family meal here! The food and service was amazing. Thank you so much to Sandeep and the team. We will definitely be back.
Spice Mafia – Urmstonwe were looking forward to trying the replacement for VIDA our former favourite restaurant. Sadly disappointed. Although live music is a good idea as an adjunct to atmosphere it was too loud (maybe the small space didn't allow for its true potential) no reflection on the singer. The food was a little disappointing too, my friend ordered lamb chops/chips and that's exactly what she got, no trimmings, nothing. With all the competition in Sale at the moment I doubt we will return.
Piano Bar and Restaurant – SaleGreat value for money, the food is so tasty and good offer on drinks. The staff are so lovely and friendly- overall great experience thank you!
