The Persia Grill House is a little gem, small and cosy inside, the staff are friendly and inviting. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, try the lamb shanks served with rice with dill and broadbeans for something different and very tasty. Great for going out with your partner or a small group of friends, the 'bring your own' policy ensures a fun and inexpensive night for all!

Dined here with a group of night school friends in celebration of taking our GCSE in Spanish. Atmosphere was lovely, food was great, service friendly, meal offer meant we got to try some dishes we might not usually order. FANTASTIC Great local gem !!

Local, nice atmosphere, good spacing of tables, excellent service

Ning – Northern Quarter

I went there recently with my family. Within 3 hours we were all suffering symptoms of food poisoning. We were all violently sick and had crippling diarrhea. Standards are disgusting, look for yourself, look at the carpets. No Chinese people go there anymore. We all know how bad the food is!

My wife and I have gone regularly, sometimes with our son, for the last 10 years. I take family there for celebrations and even take my workmates! Superb atmosphere, reasonable prices, good choice, pleasant staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Romano's to all! I have family in Hyde/Rochdale who we eat out with regularly, and if we mention Italian, they always say "Lets go to Romano's!"

I was really disappointed after going for many years. I had a set party menu but chocolate cake wasnt on it - despite having 2 weeks notice and advantage of pre-order they refused to accommodate. They were argumentative when a friend advised there was hair in her food I gave 18 deposits before the night. A couple who had just had a young baby wanted to come but did not wish to pay deposits in case they had to back out last minute. I was advised even though 18 deposists had been submitted, if I included these 2 on the final numbers and they did not attend the restaurant would still subtract £10 extra off the final bill Inflexible and unwilling to accommodate. the food on the party menu was also sub standard. It's a shame as I have been going for years and used to love the place.

My god what a fantastic place to dine! This is one of the best restaurants that I've ever been to!!! Me & my partner went on Friday night, turned up fashionably late (wasn't my fault-The Mrs!) but they still catered for us with no hassle, even though it was packed! no waiting. The service was fantastic, the chefs are unbelievable with their knife skills & entertainment for the guests... I would recommend this restaurant to anybody as they can cater for anybody, don't be thinking its all about fish/sushi, there's plenty of choice for anyone, any age. FANTASTIC!

What a fantastic place. The food was great quality, with a varied menu. The experience of the chefs is obvious, they do great things with local produce. The setting was great too, a traditional pub with a restaurant extension and rural views that go on as far as the eye can see. All in all, an excellent experience.

What can I say.....sensational! We ate there last night (saturday)This place got recommended to us by an Indian mate of mine. The food was delicious, the surroundings very trendy and the service was excellent. All in all a great night and very well priced. The Best Indian restaurant in Manchester if not the North-West.

My wife and i moved to the daisy hill area only 12 months ago and after giving birth to our first child we never got the chance to try out andiamos. However, he's now 7 months old and we got the in laws to babysit to give us the chance to sample this restaurant. We went on a saturday night and even though we booked the night before we couldn't get a seat at the time we wanted(8.15) so we had to take an 8.45 slot which was fine but it just goes to show you the popularity of this restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and immediately we felt at home. We were shown to our table were unfortunately we weren't offered any drinks and this was the only little thing that went against the place the whole night but as soon as you were tucking into your food this wasn't a problem. I presume it was just a one off as there were 2 big parties in there and maybe they weren't thinking straight, but, like i said, this wasn't any sort of a problem. We ordered a garlic bread with cheese for starters (a must have at any Italian restaurant) and the one between us was very filling so we were glad that our main meal was around another 10 minutes after we had finished. I know that some restaurants rush your main meal out to you but andiamos seemed happy to have your company and we certainly weren't rushed. For our main meal, we looked on the menu for the fillet gorgonzola, a favourite of ours from past Italian restaurants but unfortunately this wasn't to be seen, however, we did ask the lady(who i think was one of the owners) and they actually did it for us, a very nice touch which you probably wouldn't get at most other restaurants. We then asked what the potatoes to be served were as my wife can be quite fussy when it comes to potatoes and when we were told it was to be sliced potatoes i ordered a bowl of chips as well, however the lady didn't charge us for the chips and gave us a mixed portion of the potatoes and the chips, again, a really nice touch. Unfortunately we were so stuffed we couldn't manage a dessert but seeing other people around us have one you could clearly see that they were big portions. This restaurant is situated only 5 minutes walking distance from our house so will be ideal for a weekend treat, it's surroundings and interior are beautiful and the whole experience of dining here was one of the finest we've had. We are happy we finally got a chance to sample andiamos and we would very highly recommend this place to anybody, thankyou for a lovely evening.

Just been for our first visit to Rofaza and were really impressed. The food was excellent - and lots of it! The service was very good and the prices really reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

We dined here on a busy Thursday night. The food was great - very tasty, well cooked and a reasonable price for what you got at c £6 for a starter and £15 for a main course. However we found the service poor as the restaurant was packed and there were only 3 serving staff. Whilst they weren't rude they were very abrupt when taking orders and bringing out food and catching their eye to order more drinks or get the bill was impossible. The other issue we had was that as the restaurant is so popular they have squeezed in too many tables and as such you are very close to neighbouring tables and can hear everything they say, fine if you are in a big party but prob not ideal for a romantic meal for 2. So good food but I wouldn't rush back as I think there are other good places to eat.

Took my girlfriend there for her birthday on the recommendations given by this website, and was completely impressed from start to finish. From the friendly and helpful staff, to the excellent food. I couldn't fault any part of it. Starters (sea food platter) was superb, steak was amazing and chocolate truffle cake was the best I've ever had. I'd give this place 10/10 and definitely go back.

Went to Wings as we were going to the Ricky Hatton fight at the City of Manchester stadium. Restaurant was pretty full to say it was 5pm. Food was outstanding. I loved all the little touches like putting the dim sum on your plate for you. They even made our duck pancakes at the side of our table for us. Food was amazing and service was even better. Will definitely be going back. The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Went to San Carlo mid week for my hubby's birthday. When we arrived the place was half full and already had a great atmosphere. By the time we left it was full to capcity. A really good sign mid week. Loved the food and enjoyed a large platter of shellfish to share. The only downside was our table. We were sat next to the waiter's station and were constantly interrupted by waiters leaning over us picking up peper mills and parmesan cheese etc. This did get quite annoying until the place got so busy that nothing was ever returned back to the station! Therefore I would make a point of not being seated near this area again, but apart from that a great place!

Sorry to disagree with popular opinion. Having read its rave reviews we pitched up at the New Emperor on Sunday last and the whole experience was pretty depressing. One starter forgotten. Crispy duck was dry and had poor texture, king prawns in satay sauce had no flavour or seasoning, the brown gloopy sauce barely distinguishable from the fillet of slimy beef in ginger and black beans. Bland, bland, bland! Ordered a decent premier cru Chablis that was served too warm from cheap, horrible glasses. The request for an ice bucket for the sparkling mineral water that came at room temperature resulted in a wine cooler full of ice with the bottle sat on top. Clueless. Then the bill has 10% added automatically and the staff push you to add a tip when they bring over the credit card machine. It wasn't overly busy, but FOUR other tables complained about slow service or dishes that had been ordered but forgotten. The decor is tired. Don't often eat Chinese in town and if this really is one of the best, I'll stick to that policy.

after reading various reviews on this site, i decide to treat myself and and members of my family today. unfortunately it did NOT live up to the reviews. the floor was dirty in places and the chairs were of all different types and styles. most of the potatoes were undercooked and so were the vegetables. the meat was passable, the only shining light was the rhubarb crumble pudding.when we pointed these things out, the waiter wasnt really bothered. my advice is think twice about booking a table at this place.
