Beautiful food and great service, the atmosphere was relaxed and jovial, the pub and restaurant are presented to a high standard, I would highly recommend this establishment as a place to visit, set in stunning country surroundings. 10/10

Did a 50 mile round trip to visit the pub and we weren't disappointed absolutely beautiful place food was excellent staff very warming and friendly definitely recommend and we'll be back very soon for our overnjght stay.

Stop off on way South. Staff very friendly and supper and breakfast both excellent. Rooms could do with some redecorating but very clean and very comfortable. Would definitely return

I took my Grandaughter for the Afternoon Tea at Mere Court and as usual it was excellent! The only drawback I could say was that the ham sandwich came with mustard already on it and neither of us like mustard! I think in future it would be sensible to leave the mustard off the ham sandwich! Annie our Waitress was ever so friendly and helpful! I have been about 4 times now for Afternoon Tea and it is always superb! X

Fabulous meal and exhale t service as usual

Stopped at the Alvanley Arms for a quick supper before going on to the theatre in Crewe. Nice, clean surrounding , good food, well cooked at a very reasonable price. Staff lovely and friendly. Great job!!

We enjoyed yet another fabulous meal as always, visited on a Thursday this time as it was our wedding anniversary but every bit as good as a Saturday night, staff very attentive as usual.

We were warmly welcomed including our dog! Staying nearby in Delamere Forest. Food was amazing - I had Steak and frites and my husband had Steak pie. Pooch chose the “growl bowl” from the dog menu - chicken,sausage and carrots he loved it! We didn’t have room for pudding, will have to visit again.

We enjoyed our lunch at The Carriers. It was an ideal dog friendly place for family members to meet before heading to our holiday venue. We were made very welcome. There's a good menu, including one for dogs.

The food was quite good but lots of things on the menu were not available and did not seem to get the same size portions that you would get at the Prestbury restaurant. (Seem very small)The young lady that was serving us was very nice and helpful.

Afternoon tea was excellent in a quiet alcove overlooking the gardens. In spite of a busy wedding function elsewhere in the hotel, the service was excellent. The sandwiches and cakes were very tasty and nicely presented. My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience. We couldn't eat all the cakes and a suitable plastic container was provided to take them with us. Well done to all the team and thank you!

Always excellent food and exceptional service

We came here for a birthday lunch before going on to a nearby activity. The carriers inn made the meal extra special for my friend with a little bottle of fizz. Such a lovely touch! The food was really nice and the service was brilliant. I would highly recommend.

We were stopping the night and treated our friends who drove us to the Mere Court to lunch. The service was excellent we all commented in the quality of the food and drinks that was served to us and went away thoroughly satisified.

A recent find for us. Nice atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. VERY generous food servings - my starter wasmore like a main course. Food was excellent.
