Went for Lunch yesterday for my Mum’s 84th birthday and had a lovely time- it’s so nice that the kitchen only start to prep the mains when we’ve finished the starters, instead of rushing the food out! Staff are always really helpful and attentive too. Starters were lovely, and 3 of our mains were perfect, just 1 was less so, but the staff dealt with it promptly and resolved the situation really well - as my Dad said, it’s things like this that make you more than happy to visit again!

Went to try the new Italian menu with friends and what can I say, it was fantastic in every way! The place is starting to look so much better under the new management and the food and service were spot on. I loved the idea of having several small portions as it allows you to have a taste of more options. Being a coeliac it was great to have so many GF options as well. We all came away full and having had a great night! We will definitely be back!

Highly recommended. We booked a table for 11 of us. Ages ranged between 5 & 90. The food was top quality and the service excellent. Helpful, happy staff ensuring we enjoyed our experience.

We came for the bottomless brunch. The food was amazing. Great value for money. Atmosphere was perfect. The bar staff were friendly and entertaining. Would highly recommend.

Brought my friend for her 80th birthday for afternoon tea. Beautiful peaceful setting. Staff very helpful and attentive. Afternoon tea very nice with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. Have been previously and cannot fault the place. Hope to come again very soon.

Champagne afternoon tea booked but glass champagne only offered half way through tea after I reminded reception staff otherwise would not have been. Food was ok and service good. Would I return? Probably not given the initial misunderstanding.

The food was very good and it was great value for money but the service was disappointing. It appeared that regular visitors/locals got priortised and we were left waiting. Never got asked if another drink was required despite the glasses being empty and never asked whether we would like to see the desert menu when having to wait a while for the plates from our main course to be removed. My wife and I have dined at The Carriers in years gone by and this visit was the first in seven years. We're so glad we had Sunday lunch with you - it was excellent! Booking was easy online, the staff couldn't be more welcoming and the Sunday roast of lamb was delightful. It was so tasty, washed down with an lovely bottle of Malbec, at a reasonable price. We both had room for pud and apple pie with lashings of custard was thoroughly enjoyed by my wife. I had the cherry bakewell sponge with a generous helping of custard - heavenly! We will definitely dine at The Carriers again - highly recommended.

Lovely place to eat, nice ambiance not too noisy and plenty of room between the tables. Service was very speedy, and no waiting for the food. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. My husband had ice cream sundae for dessert and said it was the nicest ice cream he had ever tasted. I'd highly recommend.
