Lovely food and lovely service such a nice cosy place right near Delamere Forrest. We had the Sunday roast and it was gorgeous, generous portions and really tasty. Would definitely visit again.

This restaurant is the best for miles around, food is always wonderful, lovely staff, great atmosphere.

Food was fantastic and lots of it. Nice to have lamb as roast option. Great Sunday roast. Only issue was after drinks quickly arrived no one took food order and we had to ask for it to be taken. After we gave in order food arrived very quickly though.

Sunday lunch was awful! Chicken was dry and lamb seamed like it was out of a packet. Roast potatoes uncooked and had no colour. Gravy was nice though. Pudding wasn’t much better with the chocolate moose being more like a slop! Think it needed a few more hours in the fridge to set. Service wasn’t the best. Is it uniform for all the staff to wear PVC and have their stomachs on show?! Think some lessons in customer service are in order and also noting staff not to pass hot plates and gravy over the head of child in a highchair or placing them down directly in front of a child in a highchair while telling you it’s hot!! Such as shame as we only live down the road but won’t be returning!

If you’re looking for a nice cosy place to go with your dog, with warm service and delicious food, then this is your place to go! Had a fantastic meal and staff were really friendly! Highly recommend :)

Bacchus never disappoints and our dinner last week was no exception. The setting is beautiful with comfortable chairs and linen table cloths and serviettes. The options of the set price dinner menu or the Al La Carte can be interchangeable and special requests are always honoured. The wine list is extensive and you can order just a glass or half and full bottles. Service is excellent and the waiting staff anticipate your needs. Jason and Paul looked after us. This is the best restaurant in Prestbury and especially suited to high days such as a birthday or an anniversary. Thank you!

Great food, good atmosphere and perfect service as always.

Having never had 'proper' tapas we were unsure of expect so we asked the waitress for some idea of the number of dishes we should order. She made us feel really at ease & was very polite. We ordered 3 dishes each with the garlic & cheese bread being the best we have ever eaten. All the dishes were delicious & brought to the table in a timely manner & piping hot. The chef delivered exactly the tastes that were described on each dish & the whole team make you feel at ease. I can't recommend the Lilac Cottage highly enough & we will be back in the near future.

Foodas always was freshly cooked and tasty. Family birthday meal and the service was fantastic. See you again soon.

As usual the meal was good served in a pleasant atmosphere. Music was a little loud and , please note, mint tea is NOT ordinary tea with a few mint leaves on. Better to serve hot water on mint leaves alone.

Outstanding service, food, and welcome. First visit, but have already recommended to others. Will definitely return.
