Came here yesterday with the family for lunch. I had the roast was delicious. Very nice pub , dog friendly, loved the doggie menu and treats at the bar. My daughter loved her oreo sundae

My three friends and I had afternoon tea (Groupon deal). The hotel and grounds are beautiful. All members of staff were friendly, attentive and professional. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The varied selection of sandwiches, cakes and tea were plentiful and delicious (we could not finish all of it, so we took some home with us). We all highly recommend the afternoon tea and would happily return here again.

Amazing Sunday lunch - beef or lamb both superb and decent portions with all the trimmings. Super dog friendly; inside, on the terrace or in the large beer garden. Service superb and friendly, thank you Traci. Highly recommended, worth booking ahead as they can get busy. Perfect after a walk around Delaware

Beautiful place but unfortunately they evening we visited it was so noisy my husband and I couldn’t hear each other talk. The food is great but pricey, the service could do with some improvement. We had to try to get the waiters attention every time we needed them which was very frustrating.

Great chicken wings and kebab. Atmosphere great. Service really good and attentive. Slightly too dark in the restaurant, but otherwise restaurant decor really good! Could do with a little more variety, some salad options with the meat would be good. Waiter brought my husband an extra tub of custard for his apple crumble. Nothing was too much trouble! Slightly on expensive side but quality great.

We have recently enjoyed several lunches at this charming restaurant. It's always fully booked on Sunday's for weeks ahead which speaks volumes. The value, quality of food and pleasant entertaining service makes Bacchus a firm favourite and we hope to enjoy many more lunches there in the future. A true gem!

Wow! What food and service, we had a wonderful night at The Salt Bar with such a lovely welcome. I would recommend to anyone.

Even though we live quite close to the restaurant this was our first visit but won’t be our last. Lovely food and the staff was great. Looked after us perfectly. Looking forward to our next visit

Amazing food , was also served piping hot with stunning flavours . The service was also outstanding, they went above and beyond . It was our first visit to lilac cottage and will most certainly will be returning again .

This was our first visit to Carbonara at no 49 and it definately wont be the last .We were greeted by very friendly staff and the owner made a point of coming to speak to us A very relaxed atmosphere and the food was great ,the carbobnara was amazing and everything was freshly served .The waiter who we learned was the owners son was very friendly and made sure everything was ok with our meal A lovely way to spend a couple of hours .Will definately go back

Absolutely fabulous as always, Bacchus has to be the best restaurant in Cheshire, the food and service is consistently perfect.

We went to the Salt Bar last night for the first time in a few years, as we now lie in Macclesfield and I remembered it as being a lovely place. It was the restaurant's 10th birthday (a real achievement these days). Our food was absolutely delicious: we had a sharing platter to start, crayfish parpadelle and cabbage wrap for mains and then a sharing chocolate brownie dish for dessert. It was all top notch. the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is just right. We'll be back...
