Having booked for a group of us, and having studied the Christmas menu, we were disappointed on the day not to be able to chose from that menu. Apparently we had to book in advance, and yet despite a number of confirmation emails of the bookng nowhere did I see we had to chose in advance. The food we had was fine, but not what we were hoping for.

Pacino’s – ChesterGreat pub with excellent food., good beer and friendly staff. Be aware though that children can’t eat inside the pub, so not really young family friendly.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichWe visited on 19th dec 2025 for lunch well what can i say the food was very tasty the only think was i had the chicken dish and didn't come with veg which for me was a little disappointing, the staff were lovely, look forward to my next visit

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWent for lunch with friends, greeted by a friendly team . Had starters and mains which was delicious. Only criticism being I opted for the roast chicken which was cooked perfectly with plenty of sauce but, lots of potatoes and only a little spinach, would have been perfect with a little colourful veg. Service was great always enjoy visiting the Plough

The Coach and Horses – CongletonFirst visit for Sunday lunch with a friend and we were not disappointed. The pub is comfortable, warm and inviting. Plenty of choice on the menu and all staff were friendly and helpful. We both went for the roast beef and it was one of the best Sunday dinners I’ve ever had. Will return soon as this pub is a little gem.

Overall the food was well presented, timely and was good although my liver was woefully over cooked so was dry and tough. Our party of 6 all enjoyed lunch and found the food to be reasonably priced What spoilt the event was the eye-watering cost of the wine!! £28 for a average merlot that had to be sat by the fire until it warmed through, really??? You are a pub that serves good honest pub food, not a gastro pub!
