First time visiting this beautifully decorated welcoming restaurant. Staff were so friendly and helpful and when we finally decided what we wanted the food was beautiful. Perfectly cooked and the spicing levels just right. Everything was full of flavour and well priced. Will definitely be returning here to try out more of the menu

The third time I have visited. The food has always been excellent and our Sunday lunch this week first class. Good atmosphere as well and reasonably priced.

First time dining here on a Saturday night and we were most impressed with the welcome, the choice and quality of food and wines, the friendly (not over stuffy) ambiance - it really was a delight and we will be back soon!

The service was slow and it wasn't very busy. The seat covers were stained. 1 meal was wrong which meant by the time the right meal was served everyone else had finished. We were offered a free pudding for this which was charged for. Receipt for drinks was misleading. The menu for pudding was different than advertised and disappointing. No lamb for the mixed grill. Miserable staff. However the food was very good and hot. So it's a shame the other points let it down and we will unlikely return unfortunately.

Had a lovely meal, the sea bass was done perfectly & lots of different veg. Always very good here & good value too with the midweek offer.

Booked the Alvanley on a whim on a family visit to Beaston castle. We drove passed it on the way in and thought it looked a nice place to have lunch after the Castle. The location and surrounding area was quiet, peaceful and idilic. There was ample parking and a warm welcome at the pub, service was good and the food was prompt. The food was gorgeous and great value for money. Husband and I had the steak and the fish baguettes and the kids had the children's fish and chips, which were a good portion size for our 11 yr old and 8 yr with a good appetite. We all enjoyed our meals and agreed we’d definitely return again.

The food we had was ok but the service was terrible we waited 1 hour & 25 minutes after ordering we were told there was a 35 minute wait for the food but it was clearly much longer! Which we all felt wasn’t acceptable

10 of us went yesterday to Mere Court Hotel, it was absolutely spot on, they arranged a large table to seat us all. The food was very fresh and delicious, especially the scones. The staff could have not been more attentive, very pleasant and extremely helpful. Plenty of tea and coffee which both came very hot. Would definitely recommend it for anyone that wanted such a lovely afternoon x

Me and my wife booked the outdoor pod and afternoon tea 6 years after we got married at mere court hotel, it was a special treat for our anniversary. Unfortunately after paying £20 extra for the pod we got there and the pod was sealed shut with the heater on in the sun, it was about 100c inside, our afternoon tea dried out within a out 5 mins, we had to ask for water because of how hot it was, which wasn't offered. We could t finish the food because the heat was making us feel sick, it ruined our anniversary and soured our past wedding venue sadly, we had to leave early because the heat made us feel so I'll I just need you to know, if someone books your mouldy never cleaned pod, can you at least try and apply customer service to the experience, clean the pod, open the windows and doors, maybe even air it out, it was sealed shut. Also the staff didn't seem to even realise we had booked afternoon tea, everyone seemed as if they didn't want to be there. It's just really upsetting, we loved mere court we had the happiest day of our life there and now I'm not sure we ever want to go back. Please sort it out please bring back the customer service The scones were fantastic, wish I could've enjoyed the cream without it turning into a puddle of single cream.

Lovely little pub, food is very nice and a decent price. Staff were absolutely lovely too. Will definitely go again.

Stayed overnight as on a work trip, room was very comfortable and clean. Was booked in for dinner was lovely really enjoyed. Great value for money.

What a brilliant night. The service was excellent. It was probably the best meal we've had for ages. We had ribs to start, prawn linguine and beef pasta for mains. OMG the best.

Had a fabulous meal at Pacinos! We all had the specials and the food was top notch. Wonderful staff, food and drinks and such amazing value for money. A must do place in Chester but a hidden gem given its location. Don't miss out and seek this hidden gem out!
