Always excellent food and exceptional service

We came here for a birthday lunch before going on to a nearby activity. The carriers inn made the meal extra special for my friend with a little bottle of fizz. Such a lovely touch! The food was really nice and the service was brilliant. I would highly recommend.

We were stopping the night and treated our friends who drove us to the Mere Court to lunch. The service was excellent we all commented in the quality of the food and drinks that was served to us and went away thoroughly satisified.

A recent find for us. Nice atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. VERY generous food servings - my starter wasmore like a main course. Food was excellent.

Brilliant pub. Really lovely sophisticated atmosphere but also very family friendly. We were very impressed with the Sunday roast and the liver. Kids can order mini portions of the main dishes, which is a much better than the boring kids food you get at most places.

We promised ourselves to go here for years, when we finally did, it did not disappoint. A wonderful atmosphere, exquisite menu, friendly and professional staff. Looking forward to going again.

Had a super Sunday evening meal at the alvanley arms !! Booked online a few hours before which was so easy Staff were friendly and welcoming Clean environment and the food was yummy, I needed a lie down when got home was so stuffed Reasonable prices good choice and quick service We will be back Thank you

It was our first time at Elmas. And wow what a treat! We both had the lamb shank - it was delicious & the lamb just fell off the bone everything about it was fresh and tasty. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Really attentive and lovely. The ambiance was beautiful. I'm gluten free and they have a huge choice of pastas and mains. We will be regulars from now on. Highly recommend. And the pinot Blush was a real good bottle of wine! 10 out of 10 for us! Thanks guys! Vee & Simon x

Very polite and friendly staff who were efficient. Food arrived quickly with good portion sizes and was well cooked would happily eat here again.

Coming to Panama Hattys is always a special occasion for us. The cocktails are clever and I’d recommend getting at least 40 minutes earlier so you can enjoy the seated area that is dark and opulent. I swear the salt and pepper chicken wings are from the gods and the team are the right amount of attentive. Can’t recommend this place enough and look forward to visiting again soon.

Amazing Birthday meal at Spurstow. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. The food was delicious and atmosphere were great. So nice that they catered for all ages. Happy go back there with children even on a Friday and Saturday night no problem with kids making noise. Once of the nest places to eat in the area and has been for some years now. Thank you Panama Hattie, well done and don't change. Love the decorations too!!

Been a while but lovely to go back to Panama Hatties for a Sunday Lunch. Great food, lovely ambiance and friendly service. Will be back again soon.

Our second visit to this lovely pub but this visit was very disappointing compared to the previous one. Service was very poor. Waiter seemed to have no experience and we had to keep reminding him what we had ordered. We were also very uncomfortable with the amount of fly's around us! The potatoes served with the vegetarian tart were undercooked and inedible. No desire to return.

An excellent overnight stop on our way south. First class food and staff. Very comfortable rooms. Will certainly be back.
