La Mezzaluna – CarlisleOn arrival advised that they were running slightly behind time but would be as quick as possible. It was only a short wait of less than 10 mins when food arrived it was presented nicely, plenty of it and staff were attentive without being in your face. The costs were appropriate to the meal. Will thoroughly recommend it to others
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA fabulous Sunday lunch. Shame that by 2.30pm a few dishes were already sold out but our next choices were still great. So nice to be able to take the dog with us. Would highly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAnother great Sunday lunch, a must for anyone in the Keswick, Penrith area who haven’t discovered the place yet.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithExcellent meal and delightful service. Menu included tradional Lakeland options and some creative new dishes. We loved the mackerel and cashews. The venison was generous and very tender and the whole evening was very good value.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe had Sunday lunch 9th Feb for my wife’s birthday and it was great. The Service was really friendly, the main course were excellent, I recommend the roast beef dinner and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We definitely recommend a trip to the Queens.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithFood was very good with a wide selection of dishes available. Had eaten at three other pubs and this was the best. Very popular so you need to book. Will eat here again next time I am in Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe food and service was exemplary, incredibly attentive and extremely delicious, highly recommended!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAnother lovely meal at Sage and Vine. Attentive friendly staff. Can’t wait until our next visit.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleBooked our table on line, so easy to do. Excellent food and service. Staff very cheerful and attentive. Great value for money. Best Pizza in Carlisle! Would recommend.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleGreat service, great food, great vibe… what’s not to like. Been many times and love it…. And dog friendly
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had lovely pub grub on Friday evening. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good value and we will be back
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithFood (sharing grilled platter and fish and chips), was lovely and reasonably priced. We particularly loved the cheese balls as starter! Sadly it was a very cold day and the dinning room was very cold, we had to keep our coats on throughout. Maybe we will come back in spring when it is a bit warmer!
Pig and Whistle – CartmelWe were in for a surprise birthday celebration meal last night and we were extremely happy with the whole service. The food was gorgeous and the service was excellent. Thank you to all the staff for making the meal so enjoyable. We will definitely be back again! ❤️
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleBest place in Carlisle! Excellent service and great food.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleWhat a gem of a place. We decided on going to the Pheasant as we hadn’t been since before covid and are now wishing we had gone sooner. We had a very warm welcome on entering, there was a good choice of ales and wine. The menu is different from your usual pub grub and the quality of the food was more restaurant standard than pub food. We had the venison and lamb which were cooked to perfection, the meat was melt in the mouth. The veg were served separately and were so fresh, not your usual warmed up microwave veg that you get in most pubs. The deserts were delicious we had a lemon posset and apple crumble, both were delicious, the crumble came with a good serving of custard, my husband usually moans about the lack of custard, but not this time!! All the staff were wonderful, very attentive and they really made us feel that our custom was important to them. It’s our number one place to go now and only wish we had visited sooner
Pheasant Inn – Keswicka must visit when in Carlisle The staff are always attentive & cater for all requests, the food is always delious & good value for money
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAmazing food, great cocktails. Unfortunately when me and my partner were here there was an extremely loud, drunk, family beside us shouting and swearing infront of really young children. It was only peaceful once they had left. And that was not long after we were leaving.
