We visited The Farmers Arms as a group of four this weekend. We love this community pub and we're keen to share another Farmers Arms experience with visiting friends. As always the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a freshly cooked, locally sourced meal accompanied by great beers from the region. We will visit again very soon. All the ingredients are there for a perfect evening with friends- relaxing and thoughtfully created environment- friendly and helpful staff- a daily menu made with locally sourced ingredients and good beer. Icing on the cake too!! The shop space with handmade items that you can peruse for that special object to top the evening off!

An absolutely fabulous restaurant. Great menu with plenty of gluten free options. Plenty of hot steaming food cooked to perfection and pleasent staff. Good prices too. What's not to like? Highly recommend

We ate here on the 6th July as my son was here on holiday all I can say is this restaurant is fantastic the food is to die for staff are so friendly and the prices are very good we have eaten here so many times I have ran out of praise I would highly recommend eating here if you visit carlisle

5* all round, a friendly welcome, great atmosphere, excellent choices on the menu, the food was beautiful and the service first class, we live local and this was our first visit to Grants to celebrate my wife's birthday as a couple, everything was just brilliant easily outweighed our expectations. Lovely meal, but one problem was my sister is a vegetarian and the hake had bits of bacon which ruined the meal for her.

Great food and atmosphere was great…we ate there on the 2nd July 2024…they catered for our 1 year old and nothing was a problem, definitely will return.

Probably the best Italian in Carlisle and has been for years, friendly staff, great food and a lovely restaurant as whole, great atmosphere.

Really nice food in a lovely 17th century building. Great gluten free burger! My non gluten free boyfriend also enjoyed the steak and ale pie.

A very good meal with friendly service

We had a very enjoyable meal on Friday 28 June. The choice of food was excellent , we were welcomed on arrival had a drink at the bar and were then shown to our table. The service was prompt and attentive. The portions were more than adequate and the food delicious.

We visited as a family on Saturday. The food and service was absolutely amazing.
