Fantastic food in a lovely place with great service and nice atmosphere . Would definitely recommend to anyone

Ate at the Wheatsheaf 2 x nights as we were stopping over. The dinners were lovely - in particular the Steak and Pepper pie were delicious. Service was efficient and friendly despite how busy they were. Breakfast was made to order, good choices - food tasty but think they could be more generous with the portion sizes eg: only 1 x chipolata sausage and 1 slice of toast. Should offer more tea/coffee.

This was our 3rd visit and each time we have enjoyed the food . The staff are friendly and the service is always with a smile . I run holiday lets and always steer my guests here. The pub has loads of character set in a gorgeous little hamlet . Just love this place .

Second time visiting here and it was equally as good. A bit kooky, the staff are absolutely lovely and the chef is a top chap. I had the Kung Po and it was lovely. Dog friendly as well.

Booked Lewis Bistro for my wife and I for her birthday while staying in Grasmere for a couple of night last week. We had a great evening with good food, atmosphere and service! Look forward to getting back at some point.

A great dinner this week at Grants, the food is always fresh and good portions. They have a good wine selection and staff friendly and helpful. It’s great to have a local bistro offering modern style dishes in an atmospheric building.

A very pleasant meal - prompt service & very accommodating to my 5 year old grandson . Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again & possibly stay if in the area .

Excellent food in a delightful little bistro with fabulous service. Best monkfish I have ever had and will most definitely be back next time we are in Grasmere. Only slightly negative comment is about the toilets which should be cleaner and don’t do the restaurant justice.

The food was delicious. Really good portions and everyone was happy with their choices. The beef pie, Lamb Henry and Cumberland Sausage and Mash were great! There was one staff member on the night we visited and she did a great job, running the bar and serving the table. Thank you we will be back.

What a lovely find ! This old traditional pub, had a great feel about it. Staff so polite and friendly. Food was amazing. We will most definitely be visiting again.

Favourite restaurant in Keswick ! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food has never disappointed. Superb sized portions , high quality food, not just your average pub grub . Will be returning again in the summer.

Excellent meal served by friendly and professional staff. Cosy atmosphere with cost very reasonable for Keswick. Will definitely return on our next visit to Keswick.

Been here several times now, we had another pleasant meal and it was suitable for gluten free but these were limited choices. Kids meal was poor in comparison. Be good if they did half an adult meal portions for children instead of the usual fayre.

Second time at the Pheasant and again an excellent Sunday dinner. Staff first class and attentive too. Food freshly cooked and tasted gorgeous. Ready to book again for our summer visit to Keswick. Thanks to all for the 1st class service. See you all soon.

An excellent meal at dinner a week ago. Friendly and efficient service, a warm greeting and a suitable table for a single diner. Delicious,well presented food. Scallops and bacon to start followed by venison with a local cheeseboard to finish. Good quality accompanying wines. I can heartily recommend this restaurant in the heart of Penrith. Worth a journey if not staying in the town as I was.
