Wonderful little bistro that allows dogs. A real treat as we normally have to eat in pubs. The food was divine and the service was excellent. When they found out we'd just got engaged they discounted our bill. A really lovely gesture as they didn't have to do that. Would definitely return when we're next in Grasmere.

Great food and service as always and met our request for space by the table for a pushchair. Nothing was too much trouble thank you and we will see you again later this year. Highly recommended 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a lovely experience. The tea was very special, a very nice change from sandwiches. The castle was really beautiful. The Staff could not have been nicer very relaxing and friendly.. It was a great place to stop halfway on our journey home. We will be returning with our son and his partner. Many thanks to all the staff.

Lovely building, relaxed and quiet atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, good menu choices and delicious food. Really enjoyed taking my parents out for dinner here.

Had lunch with friends on Thursday. The food was lovely and staff were so friendly. Come here quite often and its one of our favorite places to eat. Well dine all.

I can honestly say the only “fault” with this restaurant is that they are not charging enough! The food was delicious and extremely fair priced! best Italian in Carlisle I couldn’t recommend this enough if you’re visiting or fancying a meal out! The staff were extremely helpful and even entertained my child and kept her busy! The food was fresh and brought quickly, will definitely be returning! Thanks for a lovely experience guys! Xx

What a great find in Penrith! A lovely friendly welcome, great staff who were very accommodating. The food- well what can I say- superb! The steaks, the risotto, the duck just perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The desserts were yummy too. Thank you for making a lockdown reunion even more special!

The Pheasant Inn is a place to enjoy excellent food with a varied menu. We ate here several times in the past week and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and generous food served by the very friendly and helpful staff. Use the online booking system to avoid disappointment as this is a popular place. Best place in town.

We booked this restaurant after reading reviews about it and were not disappointed, food was excellent, I had chicken supreme and and my husband had pork with crackling , the vegetables accompanying the meal were all cooked to perfection and a good selection. We treat ourselves to a desert and again we were not disappointed. All staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a good atmosphere.
