Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereEcellent food and service as usual, will be returning in the near future.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThe atmosphere was friendly and the food was excellent. Just from our point of view though the tables were really crammed in so you felt squashed and it was quite warm because of that. It was not a relaxing environment and we were pleased to get back outside.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe have eaten at the Pheasant before and really pleased to find out that we could book a table. The food was excellent as were the staff. Would happily recommend eating here.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickReally enjoy our stay! Loved every minute of it! Bed was comfortable, atmosphere was amazing, staff is great! Will stay again for sure and recommend to the friends!
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenWe eat here regularly and are never disappointed. The food is delicious and well presented with just the right size portion. The service is very attentive and efficient with friendly staff. Can’t wait to return again. Keep up the good work.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe enjoyed The Pheasant so much that we came back twice in one week! The food was delicious, there was a fantastic variety of dishes on the menu, and the service and atmosphere were lovely. Highly recommended!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWent for Sunday lunch. We had the small roast which was ample for us and excellent value for money. The desserts were really delicious.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad a very pleasant meal with the family. The food was good and tasty and the staff very pleasant and welcoming.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely meal with friends again at The Wheatsheaf. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a very leisurely afternoon (long!) Sunday lunch and then retired upstairs to the very comfortable lounge, where we were served drinks and were able to sit and chat. Excellent food and wine. Can highly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVisited on Sunday 31st August after booking online for 2.45 which was the time slot I was given. We were disappointed there wasn’t any roast beef left, but the Lakeland pie was delicious, although we weren’t offered any condiments. Also as we chose to sit outside so we couldn’t have a tab so the 3 of us had to scrabble to pay each other. Overall a lovely meal and setting, just slightly disappointed in the above. We will definitely visit again.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent Sunday lunch. One of the best in Keswick and we have tried many.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFantastic meal .. lovely pub with friendly staff . Outside areas are immaculate. Best place to eat in Keswick
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLast minute decision to go to a local pub outside of town just a quick walk. Not a good start I got stung by a wasp at the bar but hey ho,then taken too our table which seemed like a overflow room by the kitchen. We were then sat down at a table then asked what drinks we wanted, for then for another member to move us to the table next to us which was exactly the same !!!!!!the tables by us had debris food on floor under them.We ordered food it was brilliant, the staff stood by us at a till chatting !! Might be a while before we go back.
Pheasant Inn – Keswickexcellent food , reasonable value , great portions ,very friendly staff , very popular so need to book
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe Wheatsheaf came recommended by my Sister-in-Law and our experience did not disappoint. We ate a good Sunday Lunch of roast beef, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables and huge Yorkshire puds and a good gravy. For dessert we ate Apple and Cinnamon crumble with custard. The custard was perfect, a really nice consistency, custard can make or brake a good crumble. The atmosphere was calm, very pleasant and above all friendly, lovely to see many dog owners being able to bring their faithful hounds with them. Highly recommend this delightful 17th century former coaching inn with really decent Cumbrian hospitality!
