Cibo – BarrowGreat that the pub has reopened with lovely welcoming staff and a good selection of beers and ciders. So far I have only had the pizza from the menu as it is just sooooo good, and really worthy of a good pizzeria rather than pub grub. Well done all!
The Tavern At Hale – MilnthorpeHad a wonderful stay at the hotel and was treated to a fabulous afternoon tea Great service and food at its very best Would definitely recommend and will be returning on our next trip to the Lakes.
Cedar Manor – WindermereThe staff were very attentive. The food was good but I would have liked a choice of potatoes with the chicken. Also the option of an extra veg would be good. Enjoyed the meal though in a lovely venue
Cibo – BarrowLovely food. We had the 2 courses for £15 - good choices on the menu and excellent value for money. Felt safe, happy with their virus precautions. Would definitely recommend. Would like to go back :) thank you.
Aikton Arms – WigtonAmazing experience... food top notch with attention to detail . The king prawn with chilli & lime was fantastic. Staff very welcoming and good service .
Cibo – BarrowGreat meal at the Queens Head. Made in particular by the excellent friendly service of waiter Jack! Our smoked salmon starter excellent as well as looking as pretty as a picture on the plate. Mains great too.
Queens Head Hotel – WindermereAfter reviewing all the local Hotels for Afternoon Tea, we decided on Cedar Manor. We couldn't have made a better choice. It was absolutely delicious, with great service, and very friendly atmosphere.
Cedar Manor – WindermereNice to see the tavern reopen the staff are great and very welcoming. Had pizza which was fantastic looking forward to our next visit
The Tavern At Hale – MilnthorpeWe came for dinner on the Taverns first Saturday of opening up after lock down. The place was really busy and loud. We arrived early and shown to our table which was great... the reduced menu was presented to us and all the dishes on there sounded amazing. I chose the spiced carrot fritters followed by the breaded chicken with mac n Cheese. The fritters were the perfect combination of spices and perfect and the chicken was tender served with gorgeous comforting mac and cheese.i could fault them dishes at all. My partner had the black pudding scotch egg followed by the lamb. He assured me, and by the look of his empty plate that his meal was gorgeous. My son had a pizza and ate the lot.. The staff were lovely and obviously very busy but they were attentive without being intrusive which takes skill and all out courses were served in a timely manor. now for the negatives.. the noise.. there was a dog constantly barking throughout our visit. It was situated in the main bar with its owner who gave it the odd yank on the collar every time it barked but that did nothing to stop it. Other dinners also commented. I love dogs and have no objection to them being in a bar but I don’t want to listen to one yapping all through my dinner, they need to be well behaved. The other issue I found was children running in and out to the table near us... it’s not the pubs fault that parents don’t teach their children manners, I understand that. But to have them swing on mine and my sons chair every time they ran screaming past was a bit much. Again, not the pubs fault but it made the whole experience less than enjoyable. I would definitely go back because the food was beautiful and I never got to try the desserts( my partner was ready to kill the dog by this point) but we won’t be going on a Saturday evening.
The Tavern At Hale – MilnthorpeHad a lovely meal on the first night of The Tavern opening. Lovely ambiance and staff Limited menu at the moment but due to expand in September I believe .
