Working as a busy mobile DJ for many years i decided that we would take time out on Thursday evenings and tried many local pubs for a bar meal. One time we tried Oilys and the rest is history. I have since retired from the DJ job some 18 months ago but still look forward to our Thursday Night treat. Fantastic food cooked to order and a wonderful team front of house. Well done every one, Thursday tomorrow Yippee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Hubby & I visited Amanda's tea room last Year in Sept, I find it superb as I'm unable to eat Dairy products, & I found that I was able to enjoy a piece of her delicious cake. well recommend if your going to the Lakes. J.Naylor (Mrs)

Amazing place, just newly opened when we dined. the décor is out of this world and I certainly more impressive than any other place nearby. The food was as good, with a good selection of beers, wines and some wicked cocktails. Will certainly be back and will also make sure we sit at the back on the low Thai tables with Thai cushions, which is something we haven't seen before.

The best pub for food in Ambleside. I love they weekly offers, entertainment and my favourite Sunday Roast, always happy with food and everytime we take family or friends for food the choice is always White Lion.

We were really happy with Woodstone pizza & Flame grill. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We took our three year old son and staff were wonderful with him. It is definitely a place you can go with the family. The food took a little bit of time getting to us but we could see it cooking and see the staff were all busy. I will most definitely be going back with my family. I believe this is just a new restaurant in keswick . Well it may be new but its the best I've been to. Many thanks to all the staff

Atmosphere so relaxing, staff friendly and unobtrusive and the food out of this world. Not an extensive menu however the description of each dish mouthwatering. The steak was perfection melted in the mouth. It's true you get what you pay for and this surpassed all expectations. A true gem, will certainly be back.

i visited this restaurant last saturday, it was shocking to see it so busy at this time of year, despite it being full the front of house staff made sure everybody was comfortable and were enjoying the evening, the food was also very good. recommend this place to everyone

me and my partner visited this restaurant 3 months ago and again today, the decor has improved significantly with all the modern furniture and lighting, i recognised the food and the staff were all still the same and were very welcoming just like before. definitely will eat again here next time. loving the refurbishment lol

i visited the lake district and stayed for 6 nights in bowness with my girlfriend, we tried the 2 indian restaurants in bowness and were disappointed, we ended up eating kebabs for 3 nights until the hotel receptionist recommended the prince of india in windermere, we thought we would try our luck and as it happens we were shocked the food was absolutely delicious, and thats coming from a couple who live in curry mile , manchester. the staff made our stay in windermere worthwhile, so for anyone visiting the lakes, this is the place to go for

This is by far the best Indian Restaurant i have ever eaten in. The Food, Staff Service and Atmosphere is perfect. A must visit for anyone travelling to the lake district. You will not be disappointed.

me and my family went to the prince of India restaurant the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly, helping us all to choose the right dishes to suit our appetites, highly recommend this restaurant if you are passing by Windermere

i eat here with my mam a couple of months ago it was amazing i'm going to book for this Saturday hopefully they have places! but my mams been there a few times and she loves it! its the best Spanish restaurant I've been too and i go to Spain a lot! the foods brilliant and good value for money the portions are too big for just one but sometimes its that good you could just eat it all! the service is just as good real good Spanish atmosphere and i love that they are dressed up in the proper Spanish costumes makes it even better!

We have now eaten at Keez several times and have enjoyed every occasion. The food is always varied, as well as being nicely cooked and presented. Service is excellent without making you feel pressurised or neglected. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to eat, and the mid week deals represent really good value for money.

We visited Caffe Treff on a damp cold day, and were met by friendly welcoming staff. The coffee was wonderful as was the hot chocolate, there was a large selection of cakes, the ones we tried were moist and delicious.Definitely worth a return visit.
