Four of us had a lovely meal, food was amazing, service was great. Couldn’t ask for more. It was very noisy but very busy so understandable. We will definitely be back.

Sage and Vine – CarlisleExcellent food .Excellent Service .Cosy , warm environment. Venison , steak pie and Fish pie were all wonderful. One of our favourite places to eat in Keswick.Staff are always friendly helpful and efficient too .
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAlways a favourite for me and family although the lasagne did not appear to have as much meat in .. a lot of cheese ! Not a complaint just an observation from my partner
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAmazing for our second visit will definitely be back
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe booked for Sunday lunch between Christmas and New Year. We were welcomed on arrival by a very friendly man who checked our details and seated us. The place was very busy but service was good. We all had the roast dinner which was excellent, everything was home made including the most amazing Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy. Good variety of vegetables and two types of potato (mashed and roast) plus beautifully cooked meat.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickA delicious meal, the beef melted in the mouth, the veg perfectly cooked and the service was efficient and friendly. I would certainly recommend the Horse and Farrier and will definitely return.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithAmazing meal and service thanks
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeSecond time we’ve been for Sunday lunch and again was not disappointed Food and service was excellent we will definitely be coming again Staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome and at home
Pheasant Inn – KeswickBest Sunday lunch I’ve tasted in a long time. Great choice of vegetables, beef was cooked perfectly. The staff were great, very attentive. We will be back. Well done Horse and Farrier.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithEasy to book online. Fantastic service, attentive friendly staff. Food was excellent and they tried hard to cater for a dairy intolerance. We don't come often but know it will always a good meal here
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleOur go to place for special occasions as a family. Fabulous food and fantastic service! Thank you
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithHaving been before we were expecting better. However the Halibut was very disappointing. Mine was slightly overcooked but my wife's was raw and smelled of chlorine. Her meal was replaced but the whole atmosphere had gone because we wanted to dine together and this was now not possible. Halibut was perhaps a bridge too far for a country pub - and perhaps you should stick to regular pub menus. We will return but have learned our lesson.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely pub with amazing food, great staff and great atmosphere, we will definitely be back next time we are in the area! Thankyou☺️
Pheasant Inn – KeswickEasily our favourite restaurant in Penrith (and possibly all of Cumbria). Consistently excellent food - the cheese soufflé is a firm favourite - and genuinely fantastic service. Highly recommend.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAlways friendly, helpful staff. Cosy, atmosphere pub in the lakes, what more would you need
Pheasant Inn – KeswickI’ve eaten at Sage and Vine a few times but this was the first time with our son and daughter-in-law. I’d wanted them to eat here for ages and we booked this visit for my son’s birthday, so I was hoping it wouldn’t disappoint. I needn’t have worried, however. The food, the service and the atmosphere were as brilliant as ever.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleLove this pub in my favourite village. We had a lovely lunch well served by three hard-working young women. It was my third visit and I will return!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithLively festive meal. Glad we booked but fair for this time of the year. But the guys helped get us seated and ready in good time. Pint of gold was lovely.
