Gillams Tearoom – UlverstonVisited Beswicks Restaurant fantastic atmosphere, excellent meal the duck was incredible and the sweets marvellous. nearly forgot the bread they make their own and it is heaven. We have 2 favourite Restaurants in the Area Beswicks and Rustique both VERY hard to beat for overall experience both different so could pick one over the other.
Beswicks Restaurant – Broughton-in-FurnessOn my first visit to Gillams tea rooms I was in for a pleasant surprise. It is totally organic, vegetarian and fair trade. The waitress was friendly and the food was very nice. I have been on numerous occasions since and always find the food good. On a cold winters day its lovely to sit by a roaring fire eating good food.
Gillams Tearoom – UlverstonBosun's Locker re=opens March 3rd hope you pay us a visit
Bosuns Locker Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessThe ambiance at the Cumbria Cafe is unequalled in Grasmere. On any given summer evening, one can feast on traditional and moderately priced English dishes while gazing at a wishing well on a village lane and listen to the gentle bleating of the sheep nearby. The service is excellent, the dinners delicious, and views of the fells breathtaking.
Cumbria Cafe and Restaurant – GrasmereEXCELLENT FOOD , SERVICE , BEER
Crown Inn The – PenrithBest steak in North Lancashire. Superb. Great beer too.
Burlington Inn – Broughton-in-FurnessFood was amazing - proper Italian taste. Could do with having candles, Italian music to create more of an Italian ambience. Will be back again!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAlways a superb experience; wood burner, Baroque music, relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, great food, mouth-watering home-made cakes, ambient surroundings, magazines to read and stunning views if the weather is good enough to eat outside. An absolute must.

Beswicks Restaurant – Broughton-in-FurnessExcellent staff and food. Can't recommend this hotel enough ! If you haven't been it's well worth a visit.
Old Ginn House – WorkingtonThe food was excellent and service was very good. The price was very reasonable and i would recommend the cakes as the are divine.
Taste Of Eden – ApplebySo surprised to find this place in Barrow that I felt I had to write. Enjoyed an absolutely superb lunch, portion size was large, presentation was top end restaurant quality and the cost was ludicrously cheap. Beautiful bar, really impressed, nothing else in Barrow to compare. Granted, it took 15 minutes to arrive and I was starting to wonder why - but when I finally got the meal it's a cliche but... it was worth the wait. Excellent.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessAbsolutely loved it! Will be going again. Everyone for so friendly, we were so well looked after. Food was amazing. Decided to eat here the first night in Bowness - it was so delicious, we booked in for the next night, too!
Jintana Thai – WindermereI am a fairly regular visitor to Sharrow and I was delighted to hear that they had regained their Michelin Star again this year. The food seems to get better every time I visit, and the views, well if you have never been to Sharrow then they are difficult to put into words. Thank you Sharrow Bay for a perfect day.
