High Cross Inn – Broughton-in-FurnessOur cafe of choice in Ulverston. Nice atmosphere, good quality food, decent portions and pleasant service. Only small gripe is the dark windows, covered with blinds that you cannot see the street out of.

Cafe 11 – Kirkby StephenTerrible! The salad was wilted and stale. The coffee was weak because they put water in the cup before the coffee! I have never seen that done before. It was undrinkable.
Cafe Nova @ Beales – KendalJust been tonight - six of us - lovely meal - we all enjoyed it - the only fault was even though we went early young girls in the conservatory/dining room made really loud noise the whole time. We could not hear each other talk and no one asked them to be a little bit quieter, which would have made the evening perfect .
