The Two Hares – GlossopWe had a lovely welcome and great service. It was a pleasure to return to The Old Gate for the 1st time for a number of years, it not being in any way local.
The Old Gate Inn – MatlockWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal yesterday before going to the Gilbert & Sullivan festival performance of Pirates of Penzance. The food was super and it was served in a very attentive but understated way. Would definitely recommend and we will happily go again as there were several choices on the menu we could have chosen.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonWhat a truly wonderful space…so very warm and welcoming. And the food and beer was superb. As were the staff. Highly recommend checking this out …

Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonVisited Sunday with my sister. Ordered brushetta and we both stated that we would have liked 2 slices instead of one and the avocado was less than generous . For £9 each we were a little disappointed. Wouldn't choose this again. Would appreciate a bigger vegetarian choice too. Always appears a little chaotic at the counter re orders and service .
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldThe afternoon tea was delicious with so many cakes we had to take some home. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind, so many thanks to one and all.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldGreat restaurant! Really nice atmosphere. Really impressed with the service. Food was amazing and the kangaroo steak was the nicest piece of meat I’ve had the opportunity to eat. Excellent! Music was also great!

Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonWe booked in for an Afternoon Tea to follow our Hall Tour and everything went smoothly. Our table was really nicely decorated, the waitress very friendly and efficient. We opted for the savoury tea and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was very fresh and plentiful and there was even a scone with jam and clotted cream which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was really good. We have visited the cafe on numerous occasions but this was the first afternoon tea and luckily we've been gifted a voucher for another one which we will be booking in the near future
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldI booked a table for 4 people..the table all ready for us..the service was very good considering the amount of visitors that day..the food excellent
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldThis is not the first time we've been for Afternoon tea, but it's over a year. the table was nicely decorated and we were seated in a side room. I'd ordered a selection of savoury and traditional which proved to be popular, as we discovered all the little savoury treats. The staff were welcoming and friendly, coming to chat rather than just serve and leave. Excellent value for the money
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldExcellent food . An original menu using traditional ingredients . The novelty of reading ‘Zebra ‘ on the menu was a conversation piece ! Helpful staff .
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonI booked an afternoon tea at Renishaw with my daughter, having received a gift voucher to cover the cost. Everything about the experience was very positive, from the beautiful setting of the hall, the lovely table decorations, and the general atmosphere of the room. The food was fresh with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches (we both went for the veggie option). The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend and will consider booking again for a special occasion.
