God food and lovely staff. However the acoustics in the dining area are not good and if there is a large party at another table it is incredibly hard to have a conversation over your food. I don’t have hearing problems! The acoustics are better in the pub area. Sadly I probably won’t eat here again because of it, but I will continue to eat in the pub.

Form me the Hourglass is the place to eat in Exeter, amazingly well preserved pub tucked away about the key with a really friendly and atmosphere pub. The food rivals other fine dunning, with a great choice of beers, wines and spirits. Well worth going and having a lunch. Thanks Giles.

The Hour Glass is one of my favourite pubs in Exeter. The food, service and ambience are excellent. It never let's you down.

Most perfect evening. Food was delicious, staff when above and beyond, room was stunning. Couldn’t have be happier. 100% recommend. Made my daughters 21st an evening to always remember.

We have visited Belluno several times and have always had a lovely experience. Food has always been excellent and the staff have always been very friendly. Belluno is a real gem and will not hesitate to visit again soon.

We had a large group booked in for dinner, and everyone had a great time. The booking process was very easy and the staff very accommodating to a variety of dietary requirements and allergies, happy to offer alternatives. The food was tasty and portions were good. Wait staff were lovely and helpful. My only question was that I realised we weren’t offered desert which I think some of the party may have wanted. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely recommend.

A lovely overnight stay. We had dinner in the Snug. The Poltimore pie was delicious. The burger with Somerset brie was also fabulous. Very large portions so unable to finish all the chips. There was a pub quiz on in the Restaurant, and despite the staff being very busy they were very attentive to our needs.

We are lucky to have such a great Italian restaurant in Axminster. The food was delicious, good value and the service was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

I hardly ever write reviews but our meal was superb! Every single dish was just wonderful including some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. A friend had never tried paella and loved it and the Brie wedges with cranberry sauce were to die for! 12 dishes and a jug of cocktails came to £30 each - such good value. Will definitely be back!

A great evening at The Hourglass last night… delicious food and good service we all enjoyed the varied menu with great choices for everyone! With a great atmosphere too we will definitely be back again soon ! Thank you all

Food was delicious, we were well looked after.

Introduced my friends to the Hour Glass, and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food and service from start to finish. I loved how seasonal and locally sourced the menu was. The staff are incredibly welcoming and responsive. The Hour Glass is a place I can always rely on to be excellent in every aspect every time I visit.

5th visit to Maritimo, and once again blown away by the amazing quality and value of the food. Our go to restaurant every time we visit our daughter at University.

Excellent food served to us on Saturday evening. The menu offered a good choice with a cross section of fish, meat and vegetarian options. We opted to share a started of scampi tails, but this was on another level to those you often receive. Our two friends chose a couple of picky bits including the padron peppers which were lovely. Three of us had the hake (excellent choice) and one had chicken. The portion sizes were adequate and well presented. The food was hot! Yes, it should be but I've eaten out before to be served luke warm food. It was a bit noisy but it's all old pub with atmosphere and small rooms so to be expected. Better than eating in silence? The wine was good, the Guinness well kept and poured beautifully. The service was attentive. Yet again it's great to comment on the politeness and friendliness of young adults. All in all a very good experience. We will definitely eat there again.

Another wonderful Sunday Roast at the Poltimore Inn. Everything was cooked to perfection, all the staff were lovely and we were treated to stunning views from our table by the window. Highly recommended, I'll be back again soon!
